They have improved. Previously visited and gave it a bad rating however this time was good. Had the chicken and bacon on ciabatta. Tasted good and the ciabatta was with a softer crust than normal. The coffee was good as well. Prices good - mid range. Worth visiting again.
What a great spot. Good coffee and the best cabinet food we had to try more. Kids enjoyed playing with the table games. This place wasn't on trip advisor so I had to add because we loved it. Lots of vegetarian, vegan iptions could be increased. Kia ora

We took a friend for morning coffee here this past week. The staff very pleasant and the coffee quite nice. Our friend had a large cream and jam crepe and really enjoyed it. I had the scrambled eggs, toast and bacon and it was nice but ordinary. My husband had the omelette special which he said was okay but has had better. I noticed some of the baking in the bakery was on the overdone side. We visited at 10 am it was a quieter place to to sit and talk from most cafes so that was a pleasant experience. We had been there once before when it first opened and I would say it has improved but all and all just your average cafe.

Because of its position, towards the back end of the Nautilus buidling, this place tends not to get quite as busy as the Orewa boulevard bars and restaurants. This means its probably frequented by locals - a good sign. Service is friendly and efficient. The coffee is very good and the cakes and other delights from the counter a very good. It has a nice, welcoming interior including a 'sofa area' alongside the tables and chairs.Recommended.

Relaxed beachside Cafe where we do Simple food done well, chill out have a burger and a beer and try our wood fired pizzas and enjoy the view
We had dinner here with 4 of our friends and it was soooooooo good. The atmosphere, food, service and location (directly across the Road from the Orewa Beach) Seating is not too close either. Nothing worse than feeling like your imposing on the table next to you when they are so close. Half price Cocktails on Friday night from 5-7pm. I had a Strawberry Dacquiri for $6.00 and it was delish. The burgers are mouth watering, all served with French fries. Price ranges from $17.00 through to $19.00 and I guarantee you wont walk away hungry. They also have starters and dessert just in case you want more. It was so good I went back the following night with my 2 daughters who are very fussy and they raved about the food and service. Don't wait any longer book your burger night now!

Food was delicious, great service. Funky little bar and restaurant, lots of vinyl records hanging from the ceiling. Manager or owner was very friendly towards my disabled son, engaging in conversation and took him to meet the band. Band from Auckland was good, just needed a singer.

Set in the parklike grounds of Orewa House under the backdrop of eaves Bush.Insde seating for 50 plus outside weather permitting another 50.Resevations reccommended
We sat on the balcony and I was fascinated watching the bird life just outside our window. The food was also a little different and delicious and staff friendly. My only suggestion is that the staff should come to the table and take the order rather than have guests go to the counter. This would make this a more luxurious experience.

Pop in here for coffee and some food post dentist. This place is a hidden gem and possibly shouldn't be reviewed for this reason.Very good coffee, great toasted sami's - not the same as others, scones, baked goods, Ramen as well as usual eggs etc. Not much seating indoors but seats undercover outdoors.

Stopped on our way through for a coffee. Ended up having eggs on toast and coffee. Partner had toast with sourcream and jam. Good service, fast and well tasting. Coffee well made. Nice staff in a good setting. Protected from wind and rain even though we were sitting outside. Dog was happy as well. Easy access, parking around the corner. Would be great on a summer's day.

Very tasty food. Came a number of times including for a Birthday and Wedding Anniversary during August. Friendly staff that greet you as you arrive and say goodbye as you leave. We appreciated this personal touch which is hard to find elsewhere. Every dish on the menu is delicious. Highly recommend this cafe.
