Very tasty food. Came a number of times including for a Birthday and Wedding Anniversary during August. Friendly staff that greet you as you arrive and say goodbye as you leave. We appreciated this personal touch which is hard to find elsewhere. Every dish on the menu is delicious. Highly recommend this cafe.

We had a very tasty quality meal. (Fish dish). Quite delicious! Our young server was congenial and enthusiastic, but either new or poorly trained in understanding what was available and how dishes were prepared. Each query was met with âlet me find that out for youâ. Menu items online did not match with menu items available in restaurant. Of note, website was malfunctioning (design his key items like the first half of words or phone numbers on both my tablet and PC....and then would not take our online reservation)and phone number on website was not working. We elected to drop by and weâre seated easily. Menu was Gluten-friendly.

Yuk!!!!!Yuk!!!!Yuk!!!! What a waste of my money last night at Muldoons !!!!! Shame really because several months ago I wrote an honest ,brilliant, cool review on this restaurant !!!. Now they have gone and done all these Horrible changes and Ruined it for regulars like me !!! Got a seafood pizza last night for $18, and it was soggy, tasteless and flavourless !!! yuk !!! and a waste of my money. Worse was to come. All new staff, waitresses and they ( all 3X) left all our dirty dishes on our table for 2 hours with our used glasses too. Also I observed them leave all the dirty dishes on the Hospice Volunteers group,( of 20X people's) table, for 2X hours too. In the end one of the Hospice volunteers kept clearing their own tables of dirty dishes over 6-8X times!!!!! and more. The young 3X waitresses just seemed too lazy , or busy or just not interested in ever removing the many used, dirty dshes or glasses for these many customers. The Muldoons loyalty card is no longer valid for the 10% discount on food, now. Shame really , as I often purchased much more food Because of the customers discount!!!! Silly change. I could make excuses for the slow , inefficient staff and new chef by saying a large crowd of us were all attracted there, last night to listen to the FUN group of The Ukelele Players 4-6pm. But I might have to try out the new restaurant that JUST opened underneath Bolliwood, in Orewa, called Mick's, and consider transferring there for my regular meals and ONLY attend Muldoon's to see , hear and support the Great Ukelele group BUT No Longer eat there while listening to the entertainment. I was shocked to hear Muldoons doesn't even pay this 15 member group any money for their fun-filled performance!!!! How sad, when I quickly calculated Muldoon's took in over $1000 in extra drinks and food from all of us attending last night and monthly to hear the Ukelele group perform. The Ukelele group perfomed USA songs and it was FUN!!!! Come on Muldoons, pay for the FUN and Regular customers they bring you. Making them perform for one whole year for no pay is rather mean-minded!!!! I DO NOT Recommend this restaurants meals nor poor, lazy, dirty service !!!!
