Think its overpriced especially the lunch specials when there are numerous other restaurants offering better ones. Portions are big. Monthly hog roast is excellent. Does a Sunday lunch great meat but vegetables tasted frozen. New location in former Shark SeaWorld location. Has fanatical loyal customers but struggles to attract locals.

The place offers a great variety of well prepared food options, I went there for their weekend brunch recently which is good value and tasty! It's a really good place to hang out with some friends for a beer or for some quality western food with the family as well. They have plenty of specials throughout the week and show most sporting events as well.

I've not eaten here for over 3 years, however, this establishment opened in 2003 rolls along in its merry way. Your typical pub food, big portions, supplemented by a few Asian dishes reflects the cosmopolitan and ethnic mix of its clients. Business travellers and local residents alike find solace at this location, Seaworld, where daily specials are a big attraction. The day we were there, two of us shared a Chef's Salad and the daily special, a 400grm Rump Steak with Chips and Salad. The Chef's Salad was excellent value with plenty of protein from Chicken, Bacon, Ham, Steak, in the mix. The Rump Steak was a disappointment. Although cooked to order, the meat was too chewy. "Special" should not mean poor quality. However the place was well supported in spite of. McCawley's Seaworld provides a safe haven for a large community of the oil and gas industry with offerings of Fish & Chips, Roast Chicken, Steaks, Pizzas, Ribs, and Tex Mex with the Stout on tap. The owners know what works in such a transient environment despite constant changes in management and staff. The Futian Branch does a roaring trade from the host of International Hotels' house guests attending various Trade Exhibitions at the nearby Shenzhen Exhibition Center.Thank you for your visit after 3 years. Your observation and detailed comment are well-appreciated. However for the Rump Steak, we sincerely hope you could have told us about your feeling on the spot, so that we could get a chance to justify and help fix your cooked-to-order steak. However we do believe an open comment is a sign of customer's favor and we do appreciate that. Look forward for your next visit and more instant feedback.

After living in Shenzhen for almost 2 years, I have to say that the Ritz Carlton Shenzhen has been one of the places I frequent when I need to clear my mind from the hectic city. Service as always is good for Ritz Carlton standards around the world and excellent for Shenzhen standards, the staff is friendly, and ever since my first visit the staff recognizes me every time I go.Tonight was different from usual, it has been the first night that I've had encountered a problem with my food at the Ritz Carlton. It was astonishing to see an undercooked piece of my meal, but what was even more impressive is how the associates at the restaurant went the extra mile to solve my problem. Before I could look up to find anyone to mention my problem, the manager of Onyx approached me as she most have noticed that I was looking at my food in a different way. She immediately noticed the problem, and before I could say anything she offered a solution - she will order a new dish for me immediately, offered complimentary drinks for me and my friend, as well as a fruit platter, and enquire whether I would like to keep the current dish (as it was still edible) - in the most attentive, and empathic way possible.Being used to the average service standards in the city, this was above my expectations and reaffirmed why The Ritz Carlton continues to be one of my favorite 5 star brands in the world. The service is constant wherever you go, and they keep true to their motto serving ladies and gentlemen, as such.
