Considering I live near La Calera and work in Bogotá, I drive by this place at least twice a day. After visiting it for the first time last weekend, I finally understand why it doesn't have so many visitors and is frequently rented out to film/TV commercial shoots: the only thing special about it is the venue itself. Made entirely out of attractive well-crafted wood, this place feels more like a high-class cabin in Canada or Austria, not a restaurant on the road to La Calera. Well maintained, well-lit and impeccably clean, as a photographer and video producer I can see how this could be a great location for a shoot. The steaks? Meh. The prices? Ouch! (for Bogotan standards). There are far better steakhouses in Bogotá, and you don't have to drive 40 minutes to get there.

Was looking forward to this place, it has a good website, the place looks clean and traditional (if a little dark), and the waitress assured us that our beef would rival any argentinian steak (one of us was was Argentinian) and the reviews on other websites were reasonable. They have a garden for children which was important for us. We ordered starters of empanadas and patacones, they were ok and the fruit drinks were good. The Bandeja Paisas and the Churrasco mains however were probably the worst we have had the unfortunate pleasure to eat in Colombia so far. Portions of Churrasco were relatively small, cooked ok, although mine had a funny taste. The other dishes were poor though, everything slopped together and again with an unusual taste. Toilets were average for this kind of restaurant. Worst thing was they charge around $24-35,000 per plate, when you can get a far, far better meal elsewhere at these prices. Didnt see anything of the waitress until the bill, when my wife told her we were very disappointed, she could not have cared less. Additionally, while the park is ok for larger children, one of the smaller ones fell on the surrounding fence which was topped with barbed wire, fortunately no injuries. Very disappointed, especially with the additiude of the staff.

Es un lugar con una zona verde amplia para poder pasar un rato agradable en familia o pareja. Puedes comer al aire libre o dentro del restaurante. Todos los platos son a la parrilla lo que los hace muy ricos. Tiene una vista a la Calera, sin ostentar tanto es un sitio agradable, el servicio es atento y la atención muy rápida al igual que la preparación. Pedimos 8 platos y no se demoraron en servirlos (todas las ordenes correctas). Tiene una caseta de postres para luego del almuerzo. Recomendado!!!

Tried here for Lunch and food was tasty. They even made the chicken which my girlfriend chose surprisingly juicy and flavourful. At the end when paying bill confirmed to waiter that it contained a tip. However, once we paid the waiter seemed to get rather annoyed and frustrated about something. We thought maybe he wanted us to give an extra tip? Maybe it was another issue completely but made us feel a little awkward on the walk out. Nota great way to end the meal but place was good so would return.
