As frequent travelers to Japan we have until now found the poor quality Japanese food available here disappointing. This one is good. The wagyu beef is delicious, the sashimi appetizing, the basic bento excellent and the calamari perfectly cooked. Service was pleasant and helpful, atmosphere is comfortable classic. Overall a satisfying evening. It is PRICEY.

My wife and I went to the downtown (Jasper Ave) location of Syphay where they serve popular Thai and Lao cuisine. Unfortunately, we were told that they do not take same day reservations, and were encouraged to arrive close to opening to ensure a table.They have a fairly small parking lot which they share with the restaurant next door, so parking may be an issue and we were warned not to park next door at the empty building as cars have been towed.We decided on Gang-Keauy, a Green Curry dish with coconut milk, green and red bell peppers, pea pods, broccoli, basil and kaffir lime leaves to share along with a bowl of coconut rice. We also ordered Pad Ped Mee which was a tasty stir-fry of rice noodles, red curry, egg, bean sprouts, carrots, chives, bamboo shoots, topped with peanuts and cilantro.The dishes seemed a bit small in terms of portion size if you are used to Chinese noodle dishes, especially considering the price, but they were well presented and proved filling for the two of us.We ordered the Gang-Keauy at medium spiciness which seemed to be about right and allowed us to taste the ingredients and their fresh, bright flavours along with the surprisingly sweet, but tasty coconut rice.The Pad Ped Mee was ordered spicy and for us was not overly so despite the warning from the waitress, but it had a nice hit of heat to go along with the nice, slightly chewy texture of perfectly cooked noodles. There were enough properly cooked broccoli present, but the other vegetables were a bit sparse.We did enjoy the meal however as it was satisfying and tasty and itâs easy to see why this place is so popular.

Their lunch buffet spread is good and the quality of their food has always been consistent. This is not the first time I have been to Khazana. Had tried their buffet dinner a few times before and never had a bad meal here.

They served the best green curry chicken I have ever had. The spices were well balanced and we asked the chef not to make it too spicy. The lime leaves in the sauce added a special touch. The stir fried "drunken" noodles (looks like the Cantonese broad rice noodles) were delicately spiced to make the dish interesting and not overpowered with hot chili sauce. The portions were quite substantial --- our "packed home" was good for another 2 meals for our hosts. Highly recommended.

I came in tonight with a friend for dinner, I loved it. It is a quaint spot, very simple. The service was excellent, friendly and caring. The salad rolls were excellent. We tried the shrimp baskets were wonderful a must try. We also ordered the green curry soup which was excellent and the steak bites. Everything was excellent. I will be back for sure.

When my meat-loving husband suggested we try Padmanadi vegetarian restaurant in Edmonton, I agreed immediately. We ordered spring rolls to start and they were fresh and deep fried with a nice dipping sauce, followed by a chicken satay, and a crunchy chicken with coconut rice. The vegetables are so fresh and cooked so crispy that you forget there is no meat in the dishes --- just soy or some kind of "beyond meat" mixture.
