Find out what African restaurants to try in Casablanca. Today Casablanca is a large, modern city, but the former French colonial post still allows myriad movie moments for those who want to revisit love in the medina and Old City. Casa (as locals call it) isn’t too touristy, but it’s the most cosmopolitan and Western-feeling city in Morocco. Visit The King Hassan II Mosque and Casa's Medina.

I was there with my wife our son and his girlfriend. The food was amazing and we had a nice evening. The owner was very friendly and very proud of his home made cooking. In fact to food was delicious We has the sea food and chicken pastilla, couscous, and more . The only negative was but important was when paying the bill , the credit card machine was not working . It seems to be a regular problem in Morocco .With the technology and internet today I find that hard to believe that the POS machine was not working. The owner mentioned that there was an ATM near by . I had to scramble and find cash to pay the bill. Great food but bad payment service.Dear sir,I appreciate your feedback, and glad you enjoyed your evening with your family. It was my pleasure to take well care of you.I am just sorry for the trouble you went through the payment process. Nothing I can do about it, I believe.Thank you again

Nothing to report or remember. We made a hike but wouldn’t recommend it. It was also empty on a Saturday eve.

After experiencing a fairly shocking array of dreadful Moroccan restaurants and dire levels of service during our trip to Casablanca it was a pleasure to find this local restaurant close to (15 minute walk along the Corniche)our appalling hotel(Lido Thalasso)on our last night. We chose to ignore a lot of the adverse comments on TripAdvisor and were pleasantly surprised to be guided into a lovely restaurant with typical Andalusian surrounds and decor all accompanied by a heavy Moroccan vibe without the chaos and lack of hygiene!!! The food was very good(chicken Tagine and Lamb tagine)and the Moroccan wine(Moroccan rose) was just fine. It’s not cheap by local standards(we paid €75 euros for 2x main courses and one shared dessert plus a bottle of wine and two bottles of water) but we were entirely happy with the service, quality of food and the local vibe. In a desert of decent joints we were ecstatic to finish on a high. Sadly we never got to experience the belly dancer but I was at least able to encourage my wife to make an effort on this front once back at our flea pit of a hotel!

Lunch here is pleasant. It's typical city Moroccan fare with a sprinkling of more European choices for conservative diners. My lunch, I can recall, I did like bit I can't remember what I had - probably salad or vege tagine, I would think. As I usually recall disasters or disappointments, I think it is safe to say that my lack of recall would suggest that I lunched well and left, a happy girl. No alcohol is served and as it is an observant restaurant, is also halal, as are most of the restaurants in Morocco, I guess. The décor is sort of recherche American diner.
