This the place to be in Midigama, a little gem with great hosts!!
Reviewed By GirandolaMe and my partner spent 14 days in this lovely guesthouse facing the sea, we've been so happy to have found this b&b,it has a nice garden in front and and in the back of the house where you can comfortably leave your surfboards, there are 2 outdoor showers that were so good after coming back from surfing! Our room was with garden view with out small patio with hammock, table and chairs. The room was clean and fresh thanks to the ceiling fan. The position is amazing, you can have a swim from the little beach in front of the guesthouse, and if you surf, it has an easy access to the surf spots that stucked us there!! But most of all, the hosts are incredibly welcome, the family running this place is so kind and always taking care about their guests, we had breakfast after surfing and it was the best food aver, every day different traditional food and so plentiful! We also had the most of our dinners with them, barbecue with fresh fish and different kind of rice and curry, everyday was delicious!!! We want to say thanks to this family because they made us feel at home, thank you for your smiles , your kindness, your open hearts! We'll be back for sure, and we recommed New ocean Vibes 100%!!!

Facing an open and quiet garden with daily birdsong in a coconut grove a short way from the main road with four immaculate, tastefully furnished, large ensuite rooms. Large double bed and all linen provided. Breakfast and dinner on request. Arrive as guests and leave as friends.
Great place for a relaxing holiday
Reviewed By haBartekVery quiet, relaxing and peaceful place, like vacation in the countryside. Big, new and comfortable room with big bed. Good fan. Good place for longer stay. We spent here two great weeks. Very nice and friendly owners. You can order breakfast and dinner (very big and tasty). You can rent motorbike and order tuk-tuk ride. Owners help with everything. Adorable dogs. 5 min walk to Plantations beach, 10 min to Lazy Left. Everything was great. There are two things worth to know. None of them is dependent on Coconut Grove owners. In Sri Lanka people burn trash (plastic bottles and other) and even if these owners don't do it their neighbors do and very often it smells horrible. The place is close to railroad tracks. There are few trains passing by every day. But it's still more quiet and peaceful option than staying in other place closer to the main road which is far more noisy. We tried both so we have a reference point :)

Best homestay in Sri Lanka!
Reviewed By mandyscanditravelerThis homestay is absolutely perfect! We booked for two nights and ended up staying for a week and are most definitely coming back if ever back in the area! Located just by the beautiful beach of Midigama where you can surf both left and right (you can watch the surf from the rooftop). Sasi, the owner, is a legend and we had great laughs with him. Rooms are clean and spacious, water pressure’s good, WiFi alright, and the homemade Sri Lankan breakfast delicious. Definitely recommend everyone who visits Midigama/Weligama/Ahangama to stay here!

Newly renovated house, large comfortable beds, close to the sea, very friendly staff, good choice at a reasonable price, highly recommended

Underbar pärla i den lilla byn Midigama East
Reviewed By 530ulricabEtt stort och rymligt hus i två vångar med 5 rum. Vi bodde 7 personer (familj med barn mellan 16-25 år). Ett rum med acc övriga med fläktar. Huset sköts av Anjolo som finns tillgänglig 24/7. Fixar frukost, frukt och juice, kokosnötter, lunch och kvällsmat (om du vill). Husets värd Ravindra är mycket gästvänlig och hjälper till med bokningar och arrangemang (vi var på safari i national parken, teplantage och whale watching). Vi tog tåget till Galle och tittade på den gamla holländska fästningen och ”gamla stan”. Tåget kostade ca 2 kr per person (1 timma restid). Med tuktuk åker du snabbt och enkelt dit du vill, när du vill. Glöm inte att förhandla och bestämma priset innan du åker. De lägger gärna på lite extra för turister (men inte jätte mycket). Sri Lanka är ett underbart, oexploaterat land med generösa och vänliga människor. Ett fint resmål med mycket se och uppleva. Vi stannade 14 dagar på Maali Residence och hade det som bas medan vi gjorde olika utflykter och förstås solade, badade och lärde oss surfa (sååå kul!!).
