Have nothing bad to say about food, it was good but the whole experience was marred by the fact we were served food we didn't order as well as twice as much chicken as we ordered. The handwritten bill came without any explanation and we had to pay the amount the invented. Not clean guys, not clean.

This has got to be the filthiest eatery ever. ..place is strewn with rubbish and has and odd stench...soiled tissue paper and spilt curry on the floor with grimy tables...
Food is average. ..I really hope they do something about the cleanliness and hire someone to sweep and mop the floor. ..
Will never return!

Baboon house located in the heart of Melaka, parallel street with Jonker walk. I was amazed by how they turned historical building to nice restaurant but still preserving its old charm. I definitely fell in love with the place. Service was fast. Staffs were really welcoming. BUT I was disappointed by the food. The cheese burger was just average. I didn’t like that they put some kind of spice in the meat. Mint ice tea was excellent though.
In conclusion, I would come here for the ambient, but surely not for the food.

This is a south indian restaurant I stumbled across in the Little India district of Melaka. I love south indian vegetarian food and this was one of the best. I spoke with the manager afterwards and he gave me a card as my cousin who lives in Singapore is thinking of visiting.

I had the banana leaves there twice, I quite like it.
The roti masala is good! If you like something spicy. Quite filling too.
The masala tea was average for me, though. As I prefer stronger spice.
Another thing I don't fancy for most Indian restaurants in Melaka:they like to serve some cold beverages in takeaway plastic cup, and rasam in paper cup even if you dine in.

You receive a very warm welcome when entering, it's always busy and you may not even get a seat straight away! Always a good sign though.
We've been twice already and had smoked ducks salads and chicken ciabattas which both were incredible. The mango and passion smoothie was fresh and delicious. We will be back for their renowned homemade pancakes and great coffee. Thanks for the good service.

Kaya Kaya Cafe

The name of Kaya-kaya Cafe comes from a local spread known as “kaya”. It is generally rich in flavor and thick in texture. As such, our menu is created using the two keywords – richness and thickness. Our key vision is to promote more local specialties to foreigners. We elaborately design our fusion menu using our own local ingredients, such as salted egg chicken and sambal prawn, to serve with pasta. We serve food with kaya as well. Unlike the usual kaya that can be found everywhere, our kaya is especially homemade with duck eggs and Malacca sugar. One of the signature dishes that are served with kaya is “Malacca Elvis”; a pancake stack with sliced banana and kaya sandwiched in between, drizzled with homemade chocolate and peanut butter sauce. We also serve traditional dishes like “Yin Yong Toast” with kaya and butter and “Kaya Cheese Toast”.

I've tried their French toast which was served with blueberry purée, a scoop of ice cream and some almond chips. It was nice as it's not too sweet. However, it's a little too pricey for me. Anyway, it was a nice visit!
