Reviewed By Camper25010033155We stayed in April and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful, next to a lake. There are boat trips available if you want. The staff are lovely and do everything they can to help should a problem arise. The hotel is under new management and there are a few teething troubles but these are getting ironed out as we speak.

Reviewed By glenkroonWhere do I start? Okay. So based on a recommendation by a close friend we made our booking in the month of March and made a two night stay at Kevans Casa. Upon arrival we had the most warmth and best greeting one would hope. The manager Asanka Hemajith whom I was mostly in touch was there to greet us in person. The staff were very courteous and professional and saw to our every need. Asela as a manager made sure that we had to the most comfortable stay and supervised the staff to all our needs. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with excellent beds and good air conditioning. Great place to stay in Mahiyanganaya. Wouldn't recommend any other place in Mahiyanganaya than Kevans Casa. What is most unique about Kevans Casa is how they also promote the local cottage industry around in Mahiyanganaya. Let me elaborate. Kevans Casa plans an optional series of tours from the Hotel. One of which was Ratna Ella and a dawn sail around in the Sorroboro Wewa. Our assigned tour guide was Dilan Navarathne. Dilan took us on this amazing tour to the waterfall "Ratna Ella" which is a 6 Km off road hike. I have to say how lucky we were to have him as our tour guide. His expertise as a guide was outstanding. I must also say about his attention on ensuring our well being and safety was paramount. He took all the way to the mid point of the waterfall which was challenging feat. I'm also eternally grateful for manner in which he took care of my boys and my wife in particular who was most vulnerable given the nature of the terrain. He made sure that no harm came to her and was always protective of her especially when we made the journey from the base of the waterfall to the upper level. He also introduced us to some of the local folks engaged in the cottage industry and clay pots and weaving of straw items. It was a humbling experience for all of us. Sorroboro Wewa was yet another memorable experience which was out of this world. All in all - a fantastic and memorable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Dilan and Kevans Casa to anyone wish to visit that part of the country. It's great place spend a vacation.

Little oasis
Reviewed By Krake8Very friendly and helpful hosts, great food and a nice garden full of birds. A little oasis in busy Mahiyanganaya! Is was fun to take the bikes the hosts offered us for free and have a ride along the tanks, small streams and through rice fields.

Total of 14 rooms containing family rooms with private balconies overlooking the paddy fields. Triple rooms overlooking the Minipe Yoda Ela water way and double rooms all fitted with attached toilet that contains modern fittings with hot and cold water.

A few on short timers, so check this and maybe move to another room Canal close by full of wildlife Nice outdoor seating The food was pretty good. Breakfast fresh papaya, toast, eggs . Dinner was a buffet, not spectacular but tasty We were really well looked after over the 2 days, but please be aware that all the little extras are charged for. Water at the table 100Rs and if a plate of food is brought out to your table (In our case a small plate of fried fish) you will be charged for this. As long as you understand this 'Spanish System' you'll be OK

Reviewed By dinuk408I was spends two nights in this premises with my wife and we were enjoyed our travel. Grate hospitality and the delicious foods. Nice and clam place in Mahiganaya. The pool is very clear and the sun beds are very comfortable. The room is very clean and the beds are comfortable . when you visits Mahiyanganaya, this is a grate place to accommodate and I think you should get amazing experience. Worst booking I have ever made.
Reviewed By Aruna HNot reliable people at all. Do not trust this place. Having paid an advance via bank account I booked two days in April 2019. I was shocked to know that they had given the same room to some one else. Just imagine arrival to that place at 8.30 pm with three children and no place to stay as reception said it is fully booked !!!
