Pugdundee Safaris - Kings Lodge

The lodge is environmentally sensitive, harmonious with the natural features of the site and accentuates natural daylight to all facilities. Local knowledge and art has been incorporated in the development and the lodge has been constructed using local manpower. The lodge is rustic yet deluxe, finished with fine cotton and handcrafted furniture. The lodge is set in a forested estate of 32 acres over looking sal forested hills on both sides. Bandhavgarh was established in 1968 as a National Park, and is spread over an area of 448 sq. kms. This national park was declared as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in the year 1993. It is predominantly covered with vegetation like SAL, SALI, DHOBIN and has vast stretches of grasslands spread over 32 hills, the region though smaller than other wildlife parks has one of the highest density of tigers in the world.

Tiger sighting at it's best!

Wonderful experience with King's Lodge and Pugdundee Safaris. It was smooth and easy from the beginning to the end! Due to certain unfortunate circumstances we had to reschedule our trip and safari dates. It was an absolutely no questions asked and hassle free experience, with the help of Mr. Pankaj from Gurgaon. The gates recommended by him were 100% eventful (14 sightings in a day). It was a memorable trip thanks to all the staff and especially Mr. Amit Mukherjee for the seamless coordination and execution. We had booked the pick up and drop from Jabalpur with them. The vehicles were in excellent condition, the drivers were very cooperative and polite. Expect a warm warm welcome and reception on arrival. The rooms have a beautiful ambience. The staff is very soft spoken and compliant. Excellent service and thoughtfulness is an add on. Right from providing bottles of chilled water and the most refreshing nimbu paani on the safari jeeps to the packed sandwiches on the way back to the airport - it all touched just the right chords. Their in house vegetables and butterflies garden is very well maintained by the maali Shyamlal. The food is delicious and served with so much affection, don't forget to count a few extra kilos by the time you are back home. The rooms are cleaned and done twice a day. All provisions are replaced from time to time. Wildlife documentaries broadcasting happens in the common TV room in the evening. *We had a medical emergency at 2 am and they arranged for a jeep to a visit to their in house Dr, it was sorted and taken care of promptly and appropriately. Highly appreciated!* IMPECCABLE Definitely going back. Surely visiting their other properties!!!!

Find your ultimate luxury amidst the lush and dense forests of Pench, Madhya Pradesh

Traveling to the jungle can be exhilarating, and the thought of staying in lushness amongst the wild will bring an adrenaline rush to many, but deep in our hearts, we hope for the stay to be safe and satiny in terms of comforts. Many will second the fact that hangovers can be experiences that take over your senses and leave you to wonder if it was for real. Such is the case with our stay at the much acclaimed and highly spoken property -The Pench Jungle Camp. I would rate this "Best of the best" as it embraces the true essence of the jungle that's around it and yet offers indulgence and convenience to its guests. I loved the stay and everything about the property. From the welcoming smile as soon as you enter the premise to the tastefully designed spaces. There is so much that captivates your soul and makes you want to explore in and around the room that you call home for the next few days. The team at the resort works seamlessly towards bringing this property to where it stands today. I am so glad that I chose this property for our stay during the trip conceived in memory of my deceased father. The sales team ( Mr Abhishek Agarwal) patiently took note of all the requirements and diligently communicated them to the rest of the team. There were no gaps whatsoever, and that for me is; hospitality with a smile from start to end. The entire crew at the property went out of their way to ensure that we felt welcomed and satisfied, and they were in sync with our emotions concerning this trip. One word for the experience- is “otherworldly”. The operations manager Mr. Rajnish left no stone unturned and ensured that our meals and all requirements were at par. The flawless service that he so carefully showcased speaks volumes about how the brand hires and nurtures individuals in the team. Kudos! Our naturalist Mr. Shashank, albeit in huge demand by travelers staying at the property, pulled out time to educate us on the reserve and its habitants. We weren't lucky with good sightings of the tigers alike a few others at the resort during our stay yet it's heartening to see how the naturalists associated with the property worked extra miles to abet the sightings. The rides were enlivening due to their local telltales and the knowhow of all that constitutes a jungle. Not to forget the smile and pleasantness that was delivered at all times. Note: I highly recommend giving yourself a blend of morning, afternoon, and night safari experiences. While the sightings are a bonus, you are sure to soak in the grandeur of mother nature in all phases of the day. My favorite was the night safari followed by the early morning, whereas the sightings happened during the afternoon safari, so a combination of all worked wonders for us. The food was delectable! We looked forward to our meals every day because the meals had a surprise element each time. My highest regards to the chef Mr. Thapa, and Mr. Rensingh for infusing love, compassion, and awareness while they cooked the recipes. The food must be tagged as "ambrosial" for it was served in no less divine way. My favorite however will remain the Mahua Kheer and I yet crave it. I wish I could carry it all with me but sigh! This is a must property to stay at when in Pench, and I highly recommend the lake view luxury tent because the views were stunning in the mornings, and the decor despite being simplistic; was classy and gorgeous. Albeit I do recommend staying during the monsoons for the views it enjoys and pleasant weather or in winters where the foggy mornings will add an enchanting tinge to the stories you narrate to the world through your captures. The property has a cozy pool for you to dip in and sip your comfort drink in the scorching heat or just have a tete-a-tete with your loved ones. If this isn't enough, then venture around for the spa room, library, play area, or bike your way to the eco-park. During your stay, if you care to learn more about Pench Tiger Reserve, and its inhabitants or steer through the stars with the help of a telescope, do not hesitate to ask for assistance. There is no dearth of things you can do here so, plan your stay well. Rest assured, you will always be treated with a surpirse element by the team. We were amazed by the dinner arrangements under the Mahua tree, the sun downer high tea arrangements and the candle light dinner exclsuively for my family. When you dream about an experience like never before, this team is capabale of bringing that to the light of reality. Note: The parks are closed during monsoons for the roads inside get inaccessible due to rains but, the property is very beautiful and worthwhile regardless. It is incomprehensible to write a thank you to every member we met during our stay. I hope my email can do justice to the emotions I am showcasing here as a representative of my family that thought the team was like a compassionate family that looked after us so dearly. Thank you once again for the unforgettable stay. I am planning my trip real soon. PS: Don't forget to befriend and pat the wolf-like dogs( They were german shepherds but very well looked after and loved) at the resort. They were fabulous and as pleasing as the remaining crew.

I recently stayed at the Aranyak Resort and had the most amazing time!! The food is delicious, pool is beautiful, and the location is so close to the Bandhavgarh National Park. Above all that, the staff is so accommodating. Specifically, Rishi, one of the head staff members, helped us with every request we had for him. He even helped us have a poolside buffet with decorations for one of our friend’s birthdays. I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone traveling throughout India.

Well, I have to be honest here…..this place really was amazing! I loved every part of this. My wife and I stayed in one of the treehouses and that was a real gem of an experience. Great facilities at the room and the main house was very well run. Great to cool off in the pool after a day in the jungle. The safaris we took were very well organised, Shiv was our naturalist and was very knowledgeable. The food provided for these excursions was great and the lemon water very well received in the 45degree heat! I really would recommend this place.

While I and few other members were looking for a modest stay others wanted luxurious five star stay. Jungle lodge provided everything each one of us expecting for. It has simplicity and warmth as well as the feel of luxurious stay. Lots of areas for outdoor play, beautiful dinning area with books and indoor games and huge wooden swing :) Shivaraj , the naturalist of Jungle lodge provided us with interesting wild stories of bandhavgardh history and tigers ruled in that forest. He himself is a very good wildlife photographer. Rooms are cozy and specious. Bathrooms have ample natural light throughout the day. Food is local, tasty, variety of dishes cooked by the chef. The way their staff serves food, you do not feel , you are in the hotel but in someone's home :) And on the top of it if you get to listen Chital distress calls right from the terrace of the hotel... what else you want! Hotel is located just outside of the core area and half km from Tala Gate. Absolute Delight ! Thanks Aniket Gupta ( [email protected] /9158146581 ) for arranging this trip for us and strongly recommending this place to stay.

On and among the trees in our five tree houses there is a route to hide away of fantasies. In the 21 acres area of land lies an option of experiencing the snug life inside the rooms or venture out in the tiger-infested wild. The property has its resident species of birds, reptiles and animals residing around the forest trees and over time the area has now become a small secure park for them. You can spend your time unseen and undisturbed in the intimacy of your room or choose to go looking for wild animals & birds in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.

Luxury in Wilderness!!

The idea of visiting Bandhavgarh just clicked and we stumbled upon this property while searching over the internet. Reasons like an actual TREEHOUSE to experience, great reviews, located right in the middle of the forest (buffer zone) were good enough for us to finalize this resort. Mr Pankaj, who was very helpful, helped us with the bookings and payments. We took flight from Delhi to Jabalpur and from there hired a cab to reach this magnificent property. We were awake since last night and way too tired after the flight and visiting Bhedaghat Boating Point & Dhuadhar Falls (the hidden gems of Jabalpur) in the morning. But almost 3 KMs before this resort, our tiredness & fatigue simply vanished. It was like we entered a fantasy world. The melodies of the birds, tress and everything about the forest got us fully charged. Upon reaching, we were warmly welcomed by staff. We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days Everything at this resort was amazing. The room was spacious, well-equipped with all the modern amenities that allowed us to enjoy the nature with utmost luxury. The first night dinner in the forest, known as Bush Dinner, was a pleasant surprise. Luckily, our mobile internet was working great so we never felt the need for the resort WiFi. The food was so delicious especially the Carrot Salad & the cold soups, that I crave for them now even while writing this review. Big Shoutout to Mr Ashish, Chaubey Ji, Pandit Ji and their whole team of Treehouse Hideaway for their dedication, humility and sincerity. They made sure that our trip was no less than a memorable stay. We were quite apprehensive for our 2nd day Tiger Safari as we had pre booked only one but Mr Ashish convinced us to go for another one as one is not enough! Guess what, it the best decision we made as we ended up spotting 4 tigers!! Chaubey Ji made sure our breakfast during the morning we left for Tiger Safari. Moreover, he was our guide during one of the Tiger Safaris. You will surely love his legendry folklore about the tiger reserve, forest & life. Pandeyji has been with the resort since it's inception. He happily accompanied me (without even me asking him) for the safari booking, which I decided at the last moment. He made sure that the booking was done smoothly. One of the best things about this resort was the breakfast they packed for us. It was sufficient not only for us but also the driver and the guide. We would love to visit this resort again and again!!

Ahilya Fort

The majestic 250 years old Ahilya Fort sits on the edge of a cliff, high above the sacred Narmada River, surrounded by the beautiful and unexploited town of Maheshwar. The views over the river and ghats are exceptional. Replete with myths and legend, Ahilya Fort offers guests a rare chance to get off the tourist trail and an abundance of things to see and do. With the fabulous, deserted city of Mandu nearby and the famed island temple of Omkareshwar even closer, this is a place at which to spend time and relax but from which you can also explore the area, undisturbed by the other tourists – a stroll down through the town to the ghats is a must. The food is delicious and it’s all-inclusive so, once here, you pay for nothing – be it food, excursions or e-mail! The pool is lovely; terraces and shady areas abound; meals are taken in different areas of the fort; the charming rooms and tents have superb views, balconies & gardens; the weaving center here is famous nationwide. A boat trip at sundown is something you will never forget. Truly a memorable place where you could spend days or weeks! There are 10 bedrooms scattered around the premises and the rates include full board and all excursions. It is the most perfect base for visiting Mandu (1 hour away) and is just a 2-hour drive from Indore. It makes the perfect place to end or start a holiday, as there is so much to do. From here you may also visit Dhar, Baneshwar and Omkareshwar. Being a gourmet himself, your host Prince Richard Holkar has the highest standards and the food here is delicious. Staying here is like a time wrap as the village is still enclosed within the fort itself and is truly wonderful to explore in your own time.

Food has to be improvised as they dont put salt at all and food is prepared as per international taste . The basic vegetable is at 300/- Inr. Property is not that away from main coty but food prices are extremely inflated with ultra small menu. Suggested to look for personalised food options but yes stay is perfect.
