In my opinion one of the best choices in Hannover. Good food, good drinks, sometimes live music. The staff is kind and quick and prices correct (portions very generous. Went here for a business dinner. The atmosphere was great. Other tables also were full of business groups so if I visited just with my husband, donât think this would be my top romantic choice despite the beautiful location in the lake. The food was good and well presented. The portions were actually a lot larger than I was expecting. Order the 1/2 size if you donât like huge meals. The 1/2 size is still the same size serving at a regular restaurant. I canât imagine how big the full size would have been. Almost everyone at the table ordered 1/2 sizes as we all had starters and every dish was just as generous.

A typical German restaurant, to eat or just drink something. We were very tired one evening and the place was just there, near our hotel, It was a good choice anyway because the meat and the beer were best quality and the staff nice and friendly.

Dropped in for dinner sitting outside and highly impressed , the food was quick and absolutely beautiful, I had pork with an orange reduction others had spaghetti and it was utterly amazing.Highly recommended

A lovely traditional German bar. The dark beer (Dunkel Bier) is a must!!! Our food was incredible. Delivered quickly by very attentive German efficiency. We had suckling pigglet - incredible. And a veggie main of wild mushrooms - also outstanding! Would definitely recommend if you are after an authentic German experience.

This is a nice German pub with "gutburgerliche Kuche", means schnitzel, grunkohl, currywurst and other German dishes. The beer on tap is Herrenhauser, a local brewery. Although it was abit crowded, we were invited to sit at a round table, gathering with others, what is not bad., the noise is limited, so you can talk to your comrades in a reasonable sound level. The meals were nice and in good portion.This is a famous Hanover Kneipe and definitely Il be there next time again.Ahh, they also have an English menu!

The setting is nice. They are friendly. German efficiency in attention and service. Not cheap but for downtown acceptable. However, the beef is terrible. My Ribeye was chewy (I requested medium rare) and not tasty at all. Needs a steak sauce. Like deep frozen walking dead. No idea why people review this place among the Hanoverâs best.

I have been there for a business dinner; location is fascinating, being an old stable finely restored. Maybe a little bit noisyService is careful and reasonably quick, considering the number of guests.A careful kitchen and chef are elaborating nice dishes, extremely well presented. Good for meat or fish, I tried monkfish, definitely to be recommended. Good list of wines.Considering the level of the location, of the service and of the food, good ratio price/quality

Became a regular when in town... I appreciate the consistent high quality of the food, especially the meat. They offer different cuts and, if you wish, customized weight. Always something different on the menu to try. Shout out to Conrad and Melissa: really friendly and professional service(!)- yet casual atmosphere with a mixed business/leisure/visiting mostly local crowd. Modern and inviting ambiance. Learned to call ahead and make a reservation.

Average food, average service and nothing extraordinary. In the beginning I was impressed that you could pick the ingredients of your dish and will be cooked for you but the end result was not really what I had hoped for. Took too long and by that time we had to assemble upstairs for the artistic show. had only couple of bites and at the end left hungry!!
