We went there for the summerfestival in the nearby Castle and where surprised by this extraordinary lovely place with old style indoor and nice outdoor seating in a natur garden AND good food very friendly service. Plus -- they even have romantic rooms to spend a night or two

I'm hoping this is a wonderful restaurant in the town of steinach. We stayed in the camp site called kinzigtal. This restaurant is attached to the same families butchers. Food is amazing and they don't mind if you try your German even if it's bad. Must try the schnitzel we went the night before we travelled home. Owners are very friendly and they have lots of family photos that are quite historical hanging on the wall.Must try if your in the area.( Please avoid the Chinese buffet opposite).

This is the resto next to the gas station, in the vicinity of the Maria Dreichen church . We ordered Schnitzel, Salad with fried crispy strips and braised beef. Everything was okay except that for me the beef could have been softer. The salad was good though. No need to order extra salad plattter as the meats come with their own salad which is quite alot too

einfache Fleischspeisen werden hier frisch und regional gekocht und serviert(Familienfleischerei ist dabei). Vegetarier sind sehr arm, denn es gibt keine speziellen Angebote.Wir haben Lammkrone gegessen , leider war sie zu sehr gegrillt, daher hat sie sehr an Qualität verloren, das Letscho war aber sehr geschmackvoll .Im Speisesaal, in dem es wegen fehlender Raumteilung sehr laut und ungemütlich ist, wird geraucht, was furchtbar stört. Es gibt zwar eine Alternative, einen riesigen Nichtrauchersaal, im UntergeschoÃ, der an eine nüchterne Veranstaltungshalle erinnert und eher lieblos möbliert ist. Der kleine Vorplatz im Garten hat zwar 2 Tische, die aber eher nicht zum Sitzen einladen. Es fehlt an einem gemütlichen Gastgarten.Service ist schnell und freundlich.Fazit: einfache Landhausküche mit zum Teil überhöhten Preisen.

Urige, gemütliche Weinwirtschaft mit einem sehr schönen Gewölbekeller. Die Speisekarte bietet lokale Spezialitäten und der Wein ist natürlich sehr lecker! Zur Wirtschaft gehört der Weberkeller, den man sich unbedingt mal anschauen sollte.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at the Gasthof zur Stadt Horn on a Saturday evening. This is the one-day a week where they prepare their roast pork and Waldviertel dumplings, and I had great expectations. We each started with the beef soup, which was invigorating on a cold winter evening. My wife then had a chicken schnitzel and I had the pork. Both entrees were accompanied by a fresh side salad. They were absolutely perfect entrees. We accompanied our meal with a sampling of a number of the draft beers from the six that are available. The waiter was professional, and the dining room was cozy. Highly recommended.
