Fast and friendlyemployees. The seating area outside is with nice view to the Castle and generally relaxing.Dishes were paced very well.Maybe you should try out some other sort of beer, "Hubertus" was not my favorite one). But all in all we were very satisfied. Will definitely come again.

We stopped here for lunch after a trip to Schlosshof, and we liked the décor and facilities. The restaurant is located in a perfect location in the towncenter, in an old but well maintained building. So far so good. The menu is also pretty extensive and complete, although no English version. And they also have daily menu for a pretty decent price. Our issue started when the waiter attended us. He was not particularly kind, and did speak pretty poor English, although he seemed to be the manager or something. As the menu was only in german, we had to ask for advise and translation. And he was not too happy to do that. And when my in-law tried to make questions, he was rough and said "I have no idea what you are saying"...In addition we wanted the daily menu, and oops they just ran out. No substitutions available so he had us go with the general menu, which of course was a lot more expensive. Here the surprise when another couple (locals) came later and ordered daily menu with no problem. Very unfortunate the horrible service spoiled it because the food was excellent, with huge portions and very well prepared. The potato salad and pickles was excellent, and the duck leg crisp and tasty.

This pub has recently changed hands, but still retains its nice friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff, good chef and excellent Austrian food. It is a 'typical' Austrian pub, not at all touristy (it is a favourite watering hole of the locals) with lots of wood panelling and furniture. A comfortable 'lived in' kind of place, but slightly out of the main town so easily missed.

Walked in here just wanting to have a beer. Place seemed to have mostly locals in it. Friendly service. Before you know it we had a great local meal with good wine as well. Topped it off with some good schnapps. Thx to our waiter, he was fantastic. We think he may have been the proprietor. He made sure we had a chance to sample the best of the area.Good find.

I can not say anything positive or negative about this restaurant. The owner was a lovely lady and at the beginning i thought i would have had a very good dinner. However, it ended up with an average one. No, the food was not bad but there was nothing special either. The beetroot soup was very interesting. I had never had one so i decided to try but it was too unusual for my taste. The maincourse was very similar to Tafelspitz but again there was nothing distingusihing. It had an average taste. Tiramisu that came at the end was not very attractive either. If you are in Hainburg for any reason, you may want to try this restaurant, but if you don't you will not miss anything, honestly speaking.
