Spacious, Quiet, Great Food
Reviewed By sjjarvisThis is quite an unusual hotel for Okinawa, and even Japan....in some senses it could have easily been transported from some hill station in the Vietnamese highlands. The architecture, with high roofs and tiling, and much of the interior, furnishings are all reminiscent of places I have stayed in Vietnam. My hunch proved correct as I later found out the Ada Hotel is built as a testimony to the friendship between Okinawa and Vietnam, and much of the hotel interior has indeed been imported from there. I really appreciated the spacious and airy feel of the building, very suited to the climate. It was a pleasure staying here, the staff friendly and accommodating, everything worked as it should, and the food was great. We stayed 2 nights and the set menu meals exceeded our expectations! There are vending machines for snacks and drinks for those wanting a little something extra either side of the morning or evening meals. Something needed because in this part of the Okinawa Main Island shops are few and far between. However after a few busy days prior to our visit, we were more than happy to soak up the isolation and quiet...the night time silence ensured deep and restful sleeps. There is lots to do and see around Yanbaru, the nature is stunning and the wildlife unique and abundant. The nearby beach at Ada village was really good too, very swimmable and the bare feet friendly sand was a bonus. We came in rainy season so didn't get in as much jungle walking time as we wanted, but enjoyed our drive around the area and even got to see the rare (and very protected) Okinawan Rail bird.....We were also surprised to be able to see large blue fish in the coral below from the Cape Hedo cliff lookout!

A major disappointment
Reviewed By Catherine4290For years I have wanted to stay at this resort and finally had the opportunity last month. I rarely do this, however this review will be honest and not very flattering. Upon arrival we didn’t feel very welcomed and the state of our room was even worse. We chose a cottage suite across from the ocean at the front of the resort and we’re shocked to see a dirty room upon checkin and bags of trash at our door. Normally this wouldn’t be a deal breaker but due to the pandemic cleanliness and sanitation is crucial to feel safe. The furniture in our room was very old and worn and needs to be replaced. We found a dirty mask in our sofa and the bathroom was not clean either. I called the front desk and directly asked if someone had stayed in this room the night before and was surprised when they said yes. This is a large resort and I don’t understand why they would choose to put us in a room that was occupied the night before and not even cleaned. We had to pay an extra $400 to move to a different area of the resort to another room and I felt like the management didn’t do a good job taking care of us. The lounge consisted of very tiny snacks and there was no room service available and it was pouring rain. This resort was a major disappointment and we will not visit again. Housekeeping needs to be addressed as well as recognizing an error when it effects the guest experience.

Seemed lazy and arrogant. They claim they want to "activate" the area and "support local businesses" which is bs. They don't mention any places or give any introduction about the area, restaurants or whatnot - the only thing they try to "activate" and "support" is the selling of the beer in their own bar. 2020 - they don't have any soap in the bathroom!!! Filthy! I also haven't seen any form of disinfectant. The "co-working" space is pretty much a joke as well. It is located directly in front of a "dj/music"desk. Also it is located between the "play area" (pool table, tabletennis.) and the bar. Since it is even pretty dark, you could just work at the train station I suppose. The co-working area is a good idea but absolute failure in realization. - Which is the overall impression of this hostel. I recommend to rather book a guesthouse to actually really support an authentic and genuine business rather than a wanna-be-cool-hostel. (Note: Andy and the staff were nice!)

Reviewed By Exploration1792563ゆいゆい国頭から山へ登ること3ｋｍ、ペンション与那覇岳さんはやんばるの森と本部半島、その前に広がる東シナ海を一望する別世界に立地していました。ロッジが3棟、和室が3部屋、食事はバーベキューをしても良いし、食堂で食べてもOKです。キャンプファイヤーなども出来るということなので子供連れのご家族などのリピーターさんが多いとか。我々にとっての最高のご馳走は夕焼けでした。本部の山の端に太陽が沈みこんで行く時、そして、その後に現れた壮大なオレンジ色に染まった残照の大きさ、もう感動ものでした。2日連続で見た夕焼けでしたが、日によって違いがあるのでそういう意味合いからも良かったです。このような状況でしたから満天の星空も素晴らしかったです。感動しました。

Great base for northern Okinawa
Reviewed By joloracAttractive modern buildings designed to maximise views into and over the rainforest. Meals needed to be ordered in advance but it’s worth it - fresh local cuisine. Rooms are quite small but comfortable and each has a small private deck on which to enjoy the peace and quiet disturbed only by birdsong or the occasional US helicopter on exercises from nearby bases. The Onsen is great too - good to wash and relax after walks in the area to see the remarkable flora and fauna.

良い思い出になりました
Reviewed By kanu2440今まで宿泊した事ない宿でした TV、エアコン無し 殺虫剤無し、蚊取り線香と、扇風機のみ 虫苦手な私にはギリ楽しめました 夜ご飯はテラスみたいなところで、沖縄の山菜中心。ビールなどドリンクなく、暑くて早く部屋に戻りたくなりました。扇風機大事です 花火をさせてもらいました 深夜には嵐になり、波の音や雷凄かったです！玄関開けるとすぐそばまで水が溜まってしまうほどでしたが、良い思い出になりました
