Enjoyed an excellent lunch of vegetables and produce grown on the farm or very nearby area. You can really taste the difference of fresh, clean, vegetables cooked very simply. The dining room itself was lovely, overlooking the farm, and the hosts were so gracious and very friendly. The brown rice was very special. We bought some to take home. It was a perfect lunch, especially if you are staying at any nearby ryokan and saving room for dinner. It was an easy 15 minute drive away from Kurokawa Onsen.

I guess the owner must have learnt his cooking skills in big onsen resorts! Excellent chicken and pork knuckle sets (1000yen each) - extremely soft and the sauce is exactly right and the side dishes are not simple too - the ingredients are carefully chosen! The soup is very clear but has a very strong mushroom taste! The egg inside the soup is very fresh and soft too. Should not miss this restaurant if you are around this area! Itâs far better than the simple steam chicken restaurants nearby!
