We were staying a the attached Heinitzburg hotel and had dinner on 2 occasions. The terrace setting is terrific to view the sunset over the city and the hills behind. The service was pretty good considering that the restaurant was busy on a weekend. The menu offers plenty of choices and our food was served promptly and was of excellent quality. The wine list is very extensive - the cellar boasting 13,000 bottles. However, if you want a half bottle - there is not much choice - 2 listed red and 2 listed white. A peek of the cellar is worthwhile when going past on the way to the loo. Second night - we were caught in a shower and went to eat inside the elegant dining room. Very nicely decorated with white table cloths and a slightly decadent atmosphere.

This is another new spot on the Windhoek resturant/bistro scene. The location is fantastic, the ambiance is great, it is the perfect setting and set up for a really great alternative to the usual suspects.The service however has is a let down! The team are clearly trying to get it sorted out, however it needs a lot more effort.Other than the service ( you really need patience as it is a stretch) You get good coffee, wholesome food at fairly reasonable prices.

The restaurant is on top of a large meat factory. That means that your meat comes straight from the slaughterhouse onto your plate and is of highest quality. Drawback is that sometimes one cannot go there because of the slaughterhouse smell. But I suggest to everybody leaving Windhoek into Namibia, to fill up their fridges from the factory outlet/bistro on the groundfloor.
