What I loved- The service was great and the prices were reasonable. The decor was very tasteful and the views were incredible. The honey mustard chicken wings were delicious as starter. The shared platter number one was delicious. And the the food came out fast. The waiter Allan was very great. Areas of Improvement- The music playing was more appropriate for a club scene than a restaurant. Dear Evans we are very grateful to have received your great review. We went there because we heard that the burgers and ribs were top notch! Well below is a summary of events:Quality of Chefs suggestion for burger: top notch! The difference from other burgers was that it was not composed of mince meat but of bona fide tender meat...Service: lower than poor! We ordered two identical burgers. One came but the other did not come, it appears that either the waitress took the wrong order or the kitchen made an error. I complained to the manager, because there we not a lot of customers, and these kind of errors should not have occurred. I got a very poor excuse, but most importantly, the manager just went and sat on a table at the end of the diner with some of his friends and did not move since then - is this a professional attitude? Not even to come and ask us if we wanted anything else, no other managerial gesture?The food itself was too blunt, just take a good look at the picture attached and you will understand... Other diners offer something in addition to just chips and burger, what a shame that there was a lack of sides... In addition, the top and bottom buns were a bit too much for the quantity of meat inside them.The atmosphere was took stiff, with plenty of wood inside the dinner (sorry for not taking pictures), but that was about it...Conclusion: If you want a good burger, order the specialty by the chef. If you want ambiance just forget it. If you want good manners, savoir-vivre, then there are other dinners nearby to visit! This restaurant (best to book as it can get busy) is part of the Graze chain and all the better for it. Top quality food and even better wine and superb service in a cosy ambiance part of the very plush Sankara hotel (soon to be renamed). Prices are high for Nairobi but considering the quality of the offerings well worth it. Compared to most western Michelin quality restaurants, this place is a bargain. Finally, after dinner, take a turn up to the top floor and enjoy a drink by the swimming pool. Dress up and take a taxi to the hotel for the best experience. Security is very high too.

This hidden gem, the Hero is by far the BEST spot throughout Nairobi. You are warmly greeted by a brilliant hostess and host, Emily and Heppinstall as you exit the elevator onto a beautiful comic book themed rooftop sky-bar. Their comic book menu is such an AWESOME touch! Heroâs HIGHLY skilled bartenders presents AMAZING drinks that compliment their AMAZING sky-bar view. Sexy. Classy. Chic (sheek)! For drinks, I HIGHLY recommend the Boy Scout OLâ Fashion & Lokiâs Cup. Another Brazilian steak house, very similar to my Carivore experience but this was: cheaper, filled with more locals, and their salad bar and dessert range was better. A great place for a date night, or a night our with friends. Well worth the money! The staff was excellent as well and oddly all male the night I was their. Definately worth the visit. Note: some of the meat ( chicken, and lamb) tasted a bit gamey to me.

Definitely an interesting place, but if you're just a first-time tourist blowing through and expecting a fine meal, you'll be disappointed, unless you don't care/ know much about good food.To make it really cool, I figured out (a day late) what you need to do: don't accept the food at the rate and in the order that it comes at you!! Control what you accept - don't let them keep piling one meat after another on your plate, and pay attention to WHERE on the skewer they're cutting the meat. They come to your table and just start slicing, so if you let them, they'll slice stringy tough lamb shin off what is clearly an excellent leg of lamb. Also make them slice whatever it is thin so it isn't tough! And my best advice: get them to cut it off the outside of the skewer so you can enjoy the barbecue/ smokiness of the cut rather than just the inside. I think they reserve the best for regular customers, so when they ask you if it's your first time, tell them something like you're the High Commissioner's son-in-law.Also when you ask the person seating you what meats they have, they'll miss a lot, so you'll think the chicken that's served first is worth it. I was too full by the time the rabbit and croc skewers came along.Dear Palta, thank yo for checking us out and taking the time to review. Hashmi is the staple for us for a quick tasty fix to feed unexpected guests. A few boxes of mixed grill, piripiri chips and salad are always satisfying. The mixed grill has tikka chicken, lamb chops, kebabs and beef cubes. The spice level is tantalizingly perfect. I actually prefer takeaway, to eat in the comfort of home with my favorite boozy drink, since the restaurant doesn't serve.To avoid sounding like a broken record, I promise to change my order for my next visit.

Outstanding service and excellent barbecued meats. In addition, the mushroom soup, salad bar, and fried pineapple with cinnamon are delicious. Most of all, itâs really great that everyone of the servers treat you so nice like family.
