I visited this place with family for dinner. Though bit inside (approx 500 mtrs)from Vadabandeshwara temple circle, this place is worth a visit. We tried Prawn Tawa Fry, Kane Tawa Fry, Bangude Tawa Fry, Chicken Lollypop, Chicken Biriyani and Crab Sukka. Food quality is good and homely. This place is one of its kind in Malpe, nice ambience and good service. Place is close to Malpe Beach. If you are a sea food lover and happen to visit maple, please donât miss this joint for lunch or dinner.We are so happy that you enjoyed our food and hospitality. We were in Manipal with some overseas friends and had a lunch at this place. The Chinese Food was really very good and service was also great. We enjoyed a lot being there. This is on top floor, next to the pool and if weather is nice, you can eat outside next to pool also. This restaurant is a part of the KMC food court. Theres a common dining area and you can order at their stall. The food is pretty great and the service is fast. Veg manchurian with noodles is a good combination.

Visited the basil cafe twice during our brief stay in manipal and loved the restaurant. It has a good variety of dishes ranging from Continental, Mexican, Chinese and Indian cuisines aiming to please any customers palette. My wife especially enjoyed the Litchi Rose milkshake which was a unique new flavour for us. The combination of great food and a cozy ambience to match make this resraurant an instant hit and very highly recommendable.

We heard lot about snack shack and decided to dine this place t St Marks road, we tried TEF special combo, coconut Caramel banana French Toast, Angreji combo and egg Pav, food was decent not that great, no extra syrups were provided, sorry even they didn't provide glasses for water we had to ask, French toast was dry, combo was ok could have been better if they pay little attention

This restaurant has been there since ages and one of the popular family restaurants in udupi. Try coconut dhaniya kebab, kalmi kebab, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, egg salad, stew rice, caramel custard and bread butter pudding.Liqour is served. Credit goes to the manager Dinesh patkar for exemplary service.

The various variety of dishes is nicely done. The owners/managers are always around and visible, so service is also very good. Price point is affordable and easy on the pocket. I liked the way they serve water in wine bottles but no liquor.

Having read positive reviews about the restaurant i was really looking forward to it but unfortunately it didnât live up to the expectations. I was fairly impressed by the ambience and wide food selections on the menu, the challenge is that the quality and taste seems to be compromised to get the wide list. Taste and quality of food was below average. Nachos was below average, itâs no where near to how it should be. Vegetarian munchurian was uncooked, Hakka noodles was okay, bit bland and Mexican sizzlers was an average. We ordered pizza for kids as there was no kids menu available. We specifically requested and the server confirmed that the pizza will not be spicy. After all that The pizza ended up being spicy (chilly flakes were added). When I informed the server about this, his reaction was classic...he said âI did tell the chef to make it mild but donât know why they made it like thatâ then matter worsened when the chef informed the server he didnât add any spices, so we ended up providing evidence. The server and his supervisor didnât feel sorry about the situation as for them they did their task of informing the chef, itâs the chef who screwed up so they canât do much about it !!There was no other standard follow ups I.e offer another fresh Pizza to compensate or maybe a refund. Not that a refund would have changed my opinion but I was surprised that the basics were not even followed. They have a big board outside the restaurant highlighting that they are no.1 udupi restaurant..... which maybe the problem here, my expectations on food and service was higher than normal based on reviews and advertising.
