Great location, welcoming staff, fun vibes
Reviewed By 930averypWe had originally planned to stay for just three nights and extended our stay to a full week. After over a month of travel, this was by far the most lively, welcoming, and community-oriented hostel we've stayed at. Jolly and the team host nightly events, the staff are incredibly sweet and helpful, and there's always a perfect poolside vibe to join in on. Don't even get us started on the food - YUM. Alicia and Whinn helped us get set up with everything from dinner recommendations, laundry, a motorbike, and a bus ticket back to Phnom Penh. We can't recommend Karma Traders enough. You will instantly feel relaxed and at home.

As a crow flies, The Plantation is only 5 minutes from downtown. It is surrounded by many trees and flowers. The property is in a very peaceful setting in a quite area with a Volleyball Court and Boules. Rooms are housed in two dormitory buildings, one is a Khmer-style house while the other is made entirely out of bamboo. The property has 5 shared bathrooms that include shower facilities.

Reviewed By travelling4talesThe setting of this hostel is beautiful, a garden full of fruit trees and exotic plants. The bungalows were clean and comfortable for the two of us (I wish the night light was stronger though) and the staff extremely nice.

Friendly staff but awful room
Reviewed By 971mollyp- The white pillowcases had what looked to be mold all over them - The floor wasn't clean - Very expensive for such a basic room without air con or breakfast - Mosquito net was very dirty so we did not use it - It was a holiday so they were busy and we had to wait until 4pm to check in - Staff were very friendly - Pretty location

Reviewed By Tola1901at 13 dollars a night for a double bed, or 20 dollars a night for two single beds, this three-year old guesthouse is clean, located close to restaurants and café/s, and is very good value. no desks in the rooms to work on but that's not a big worry. Good internet. Would easily stay here again.

Reviewed By 815dalegHad a great stay here. We initially booked for one night but enjoyed it so much we stayed for nearly a week. The owner is lovely and welcoming. They also rent scooters at a reasonable price too. Good location. We will return again next time we're in Kampot

Reviewed By Kelly OWe stayed at Bohemiaz for one night and it was really pleasant. I struggled a little bit with the amount of mosquitoes but I do tend to get bitten more than anyone and react quite badly to it. The room was basic but what do you expect at those prices. The setting is lovely as were the people. Mike, the guy running it, is really welcoming, accommodating and can’t do enough for people. He’s also a really good laugh and makes the atmosphere at the resort.

We have clean and comfortable dorms, with each bed equipped with a power outlet, reading light, privacy curtain, huge locker, and 2 horsepower air con running 24/7. We also have private en suite and "non-suite" rooms with double and twin beds with fans, fully stocked bar, and a restaurant serving up traditional Khmer and western comfort food.

Home for 6 months
Reviewed By conorg140Banyan Tree ended up being my home for 6 months during COVID and I wouldn't change anything. Both owners and staff will bend over backwards to do anything for you. Gorgeous riverside location to relax, also an upstairs chill out area full of bean bags and hammocks. Biggest party in Kampot every Friday night, with a nice mix of locals, expats and backpackers. The rest of the week it is nice and chilled. Excellent location, only a 20 minute walk to the old market. The food is some of the nicest hostel food I've found in Cambodia (try the noodle soup!). I will 100% return every time I find myself in Kampot.

Kampot Oasis is an oasis within a vibrant riverside town where you can relax in in the wonderful walled garden, take a drink from the bar or enjoy a delicious freshly preperd meal from the kitchen. While away the day reading in one of the hammocks or go into town and wander along the riverside.

Reviewed By anthou1959I think this place is under new management and the new owner Chris has invested a lot of time and money to make it perfect. The rooms, bar/dining area, grounds, and now a plunge pool are all beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The staff are obviously happy and that transmits to the customers through friendly and attentive service. Add to this, the best ‘English’ breakfast I’ve ever had in SE Asia, and the other food is also great. If I could find an excuse to stay indefinitely, I would.

Nice 2 night stay!
Reviewed By G2KpaulyI enjoyed my 2 night stay at this hostel for something different as I normally get my own room. I wanted to book tours and meet people. Well meeting people wasn't the easiest most social hostel but staff were fantastic especially Zaco. The room was small but clean and comfy bed with curtains which I love. Clean bathroom. Just abit noisy at night as bar was just outside my room. I'd reccomend this place for sure!
