Reviewed By emreeerdoganStayed short time for a business trip but this small hotel was great. Clean and silent room, and a very stylish restaurant. Breakfast was very good and cheap as well. They have a small gym and it was also ok, I recommend this place very much.

Reviewed By JanBerlinRooms (in former office buildings of the atomic plant that never went online) look like at a youth hostel, evening buffet and underground "pub lane" mean. Breakfast quite ok on the other hand. But hey: it costs almost nothing, so who can you blame for?

Amazing place to stay with incredible rooms
Reviewed By kategibson180Charming hosts who could not have been more helpful. We arrived to find that I had not completed my reservation but there were no problems and we were given a friendly welcome despite being unexpected quests. Wonderful lounge and sunny terrace overlooking the Rhine. Cold and hots drinks available. Fantastic breakfast! Large bath!

family owned warm and confortable hotel with a good restaurant!
Reviewed By tessarakontaSiekmann Pension welcomes you with a wamr familiar setting. The building itself is old styled but confortable and near village centre. Rooms arewide enough, confortable with a simple but functinal furniture and the cleaning is perfect and timely. The release of soap and shower foam is not so timely although...but it's not a big problem...TV set has only german and dutch channels..So if you don't speak the language...Let it go... By the way Siekmann has a very fast, complimentary, and reliable internet connection and with this bonus, TV is not so important...All the rooms are indeed very silent son you can sleep well...But all'n' all Kalkar is very silent at all.... A couple of words for the restaurant wich is absolutely worth a visit. The owner is very talented cooker for fish and meat and you can taste german or international cuisine delicatessen with a good prices average and a wide enough selection of wines. Personally I had a delicious zafran fish with side pasta that was NOt overcooked (wow!). The brekfast is simple but with very very good quality foods (bio or famous brands only!). In cpnclusion and in respect of the very low prices (av. of 50 euros a day...) Siekmann is a wise and satisfactory choice to have a stay and a taste of Germany in Kalkar.

Nicht sehr Hundefreundlich
Reviewed By nomi79Ich bin mit meinen Kindern und dem Hund, sowie einer befreundeten Familie, ebenfalls mit Hund, für ein Wochenende dorthin. Die Ankunft war sehr enttäuschend, die Parzellen sind eng, bzw. eine große Fläche, wo jeder den Wagen so hinstellen kann, wie er gerade lustig ist. Was das rangieren etwas schwierig gestaltet. Das war aber noch nicht mal das schlimme, es ist untersagt auf den Hauptplatz mit Hund zugehen (außer zum Backshop und in den Biergarten, der ein Innenhof Gefühl hat), d.h. Zugang zum See ist nicht möglich. Man sagte uns, außerhalb des Campingplatz gebe es einen Rundweg, wo man auch an den See gelangen könne. Ähm....nö! Wir sind um den See gelaufen, und wenn man sich durch das Unterholz schlägt, hat man auch mal die Möglichkeit an einzelne ca. 2 qm große "Anglerbuchten" zu kommen. Naja.....mehr aber auch nicht. Zurück auf dem Campingplatz, Südplatz für Hundbesitzer, schön eingezäunt und für die Kiddis ein eher sehr maroder Spielplatz, waren das Highlight die Sanitäranlagen. Wir hatten jetzt Glück und hatten auf unserem Parzellenbereich noch andere nette Familien, von daher war das Wochenende ok. Aber schön ist anders (und wir haben schon einige Campingplätze hinter uns), denn das Gefühl 2.Klasse zu sein bekommen Hundebesitzer hier.

Ideaal verblijf voor een bezoekje aan Wunderland
Reviewed By DJJEVAWij verbleven hier met onze kinderen na een bezoekje aan Wunderland. De kamers zijn zeer ruim en voorzien van alle comfort. Het enige nadeel dat we ondervonden, was het ontbreken van airco. Bij ons bezoek was het overdag 35°, waardoor het ook in de kamers zeer warm was.
