I ate here with 3 co-workers. We got a shrimp appetizer that was very good. 3 of us got beef and the 4th person ordered fish. Service was excellent throughout the meal. You don't feel rushed like you do in restaurants in the US.
For the food I ordered a garlic filet. The meat looked more like group meat than steak. I'm not sure if my expectation was off by I was expecting some like an Iowa steak. For 4 of us the bill was R$180 which I didn't think was too bad.

I've rarely had a bad pizza in Brazil and Assunta's was no exception. The room is beautiful, the prices are somewhat high and the service is average, so I expected the pizza to be exceptional. It wasn't. If you want a pizza that is much better than mediocre, go elsewhere.

The meat keeps coming non-stop at this well-appointed churrascaria. The service is attentive and there's salmon for those who prefer fish. There's an ample buffet with salads and other appetizers. Located just into the entry/exit of the city at the 799km of BR040, it's a good place to stop by on the way in or out of the city or even passing by.
It's a regular barbecue house offering pretty much of everything from salad buffet to sushi bar.
You'll not regret to try it.

Just simply the best restaurant in Juiz De Fora. The Especial Picanha is a must and a perfect portion for two people. If you visit also make sure you try their own on site brewed chopp - Antuerpia. It is a much better beer than any of the big brand names.

This pastelaria has been in my life since I was just a kid and I've always loved this place. Use to go after a break in college and weekends with family. Now that I'm not living in Juiz de Fora anymore I go to Mexicana always when I can and it never disappoints. The quality is as good as I remember and the staff is always... I mean always very friendly!
My favourite is the chicken pastel but the other flavours are delicious as well.

Went there to celebrate my brother's bday and it was a very pleasant night. Everything we've ordered was very well done from the meat, chicken to the dessert. I do recommend the "Dobradinha" wich is a chicken goujon and fried polenta (corn flower) stick.Thank you! We are always expecting to be better.
