Kock & Bar

Even if we're a restaurant a bit outside the central Jönköping we have anyhow become a restaurant you always can rely on. We're a restaurant that serves food with a lot of taste and passion.

Dinner-eveningWe had tapas and pasta. Pasta wins. The chef did put too much salt in some of the tapas. Pros:- nice and neat service- ok prices- some tapas nice, like the beetroot and lamb racks- al dente and well taste pastacons:- way too salty tapas, are they hiding bad cooking?- wine is served in more than 20celsius. Overall an ok place but the swedes need better restaurants!

Anna-Gretas is a small tapas place (which you do not expect with that name). It feels informal and relaxed and the food is very good. The menu is quite long and you write your options on a pre-designed paper, making it very easy to order and remember what you want. Nice wines too.Good friends is all you need to come here. :-)

First off, the restaurant's acoustics is horrible. If you have a hard time in noisy environments, this is no place for you - every sound echoes off the ceiling. The service is bad. I've "been" there three times but only eaten there once. The first time was okay, all in all. The food is nothing to write home about though - very simple seasoning with too much soy. It would be alright, but with the price in mind, no! The second time we went there the staff didn't even show up, so we left... after having waited for 30 minutes. The third time the food was "out" which was very weird since we were there for an early lunch at 11:30 a clock, so we left that time too. This place is not well run and it's not worth the money.

We really didn't have extraordinary high expectations. A place found by chance, a mixture of italian and spanish dishes. There was no people while other restaurants nearby were buzzing.Service? Very good. We got welcomed and spoiled by a waitress who asked if English was fine (yes, please!) and they did tolerate our son who was keeping a little show (luckily then, there were no much customers). We order mostly Spanish tapas and an Italian salmon tartare (please, do learn to spell the different dishes in the menu!!) and for the kids a small pizza, with fries. All our dishes were top notch! I absolutely loved the fried calamari and the tartare was just mindblowing. The kids pizza was rather ok (nothing extraordinary though) but the french fries served with were among the best we have ever had. Not sure about the prices - other Swedish regions have quite high prices for tapas. Warmly recommend!
