The source of income is certainly the main bar of the premises, but the ambition of the restaurant is high class.In the red charming building which is wedged between the houses on Kyrkogatan is the Småland Colony. S.K are working with tasting menus, so it is not a true drop-in place. The ambitions are high and the menu displays modern interpretations of gastronomy that is popular. Ingredients from nearby counties feels compelling. Definitely one of Jönköping's top restaurants.

Nice lunch restaurant with a varied menu, daily specials and business sets. Tasty food and efficient service. Possible to sit in the kitchen area (kind of like Chef's table) which is rather nice.

Very nice Upper-middle choice centrally located. Generous portions. Limited menu, but what is there is good. Will definitely visit Esters again when passing by. Friendly staff.

Same owners as the Småländska Kolonin located in the door next. It says a lot that the best thing about this place isn't it's view. While stunning, the food here really is something to come back for. The dishes are well composed and full of flavour. Excellently seasoned and fresh. The staff is professional and friendly, the restaurant feels spacious and bright, and the mood is calming. Sitting down to enjoy the food right at the lake is an experience that will bring a sense of luxury to any day.

This is included with room, but your colleagues can meet you here for breakfast as well. The breakfast is pretty routine. They keep it well stocked but can't seem to keep up with the coffee machines...automated, but always out of milk. Crazy busy at 7-8 time frame, quite pleasant from8:30 on. Yogurt, breads, cheese, eggs, cereals, juices...

The menu is not extensive, but what's on it is good. The pacing was easy and steady. Every course was enjoyable and a little bit surprising. The wine, available by the glass, was also good. All in all, a very balanced, superb dinner experience.

I´e been to Tegel a couple of times and I´ve never been disappointed. Always friendly atmosphere and the food is delightful, a bit ruff sometimes but with great tastes. We had the "Kul kväll" medium, everything wasn´t perfect but some surprises and well planned for the season. Jens the Chef is always serviceminded!

My Husband & I visit on the 7th April, and we had "Planksteak" and the Cod as Main Dishes. Both Mains was very Good, and prepared with skills and attention to details. Both dishes was 9 out of 10, and we are Conservative Reviewers. As Dessert, we had the Creme Brulee & Grilled Camembert with Raspberries. Both Dishes Came with Ice Cream. They where both good and tasty, and we enjoyed them. If the Camembert goes well with Ice-cream ? We did not think it was blending so well. The Brulee was good but could definitely tasted more vanilla. The Vanilla Ice, was also good and creamy, but also missed a bit of natural vanilla. Deserts get 7 out of 10. Service was attentive and correct, and asked in a discrete way if all where to satisfaction, when you had have the opportunity to taste the dish. 9 out of 10.All in All, we where very satisfied with our visit at Aqua, and we recommend this Restaurant as a Good Choice for your Dinner in Jönköping. The restaurant is all about fish and seafood, but I did expect more from it. The dishes are well made and really good. The closeness to lake Vättern raises my expectation of getting well made lokal fish from the lake next by. Mostly it is imported fish or seafood which makes it loose one point.
