Bayu Lestari Resort is accessible in 30 minutes by boat from Mersing, Johor. Pulau Besar is an island situated within the archipelago of the Sultan Iskandar Marine Park. Our team is responsible to this environmental protection and the resort was develop with respect and love towards the nature.
Nice place but many insects
Reviewed By W4838OYbrWe spent 4 days at Bayu Lestari resort. The island is nice ans wild, houses are ok for a couple + 2 children but would deserve to be cleaned up abit more. Resort is quiet. Staff is really nice and welcoming ... But ! unfortunately beach (and maybe houses too) are not treated against bugs and we were widely bitten by sandfleas and fire ats ! 2 weeks after we developed blisters on feet, ankles and calves, and our bodies are covered with few stings and very itchy. We would have appreciated to be warned by the staff, and we were not the only ones to be so much bitten. Never seen that in my life ! Resort is so nice and would deserve mire stars, that is a pity to ruin it with lake of minimum bugs treatment !

A resort located in front of the Teluk Sari Resort with 5 acres and surrounded by groves of coconut to make the difference in terms of atmosphere. The surrounding area provides a unique sense of satisfaction like being in the countryside.
A good place for relaxing with family and friend
Reviewed By Mohd Faredzuan AThe place tooks 20 to 25 minutes from Mersing town. You can use a taxi from Mersing Bus Terminal , cost you around RM 25.00 to RM 35.00 per taxi. Depend on what time you arrived at Mersing town. But, there's no transportation to go there at night unless you asking some one like private taxi/car...and its maybe costing you around RM 50. The place is well known by Bukit Tioman Villa but the owner already change the name to Teluk Sari Resort to avoid any mistaken that the place is not at Tioman Island. There's two type of room available. VIP room is for 4 pax and Standard Room 3 pax. The price is reasonable due to the service they give us. At the same time, they provided a day trip package Island outing and hoping. Night time, if you want a barbeque, let the owner know and deal the price. Anyway, have a good vacation anyway and sorry for my bad english.

Reviewed By Trip_reviewer_worldWas there to swim and try their mini water theme park. 1. Reasonable size of swimming pool but clearly not regularly maintained. Can taste the water a bit salty. Run down changing room and toilet clogged with water. 2. Entrance fee quite expensive considering the facilities provided. Quite number of visitors didn't wear entrance pass, but some did. Do not know how the management monitor 3. Saw one part time swimming trainer questioning parents who taught their children swim in the pool, as if the whole children need to learn swimming with him. 4. The good thing is the resort provides quite number of facilities in the vicinity of the district, cannot find swimming pool in other place within the same area.

They cancelled our reservation without informing, left with no place to stay
Reviewed By Amir YStay away from this place. We drove from Singapore to Muar, only to arrive at the homestay at 10pm to be told that our reservation had been cancelled. The owner wouldnt even open the gate to let us in, and had to speak to her on the phone. She then proceeded to book for us a room at Novotel for over RM200, as an alternative. Her explanation that as we had not reached by afternoon, the room was given to someone else who didnt book. We had to settle for a budget hotel and only checked in after midnight. Horrible attitude, doesnt deserve any business from anyone.

Something different, mixed feeling
Reviewed By Ummu_MardhiyahIf you are looking for something quaint and fond into woods carving, then this is the best place for you. I stayed here for two nights and not regretting it. It is quiet difficult to find this place because it is hidden between houses. Have to circle around for three times before found it. The room quite spacious and the curtain are quite unique because I need to use cloth clips to close it since it is stuck,lol! The bath tub is also clogged. The villa also have non-close pool. It is open 24 hours and it was design not just to let the visitor enjoy themselves but also to test the mental. There was no ladder to go out of the pool, the space at side of the pool are just one foot so it was a big risk to walk along the side of the pool and to get to children pool you need to cross the adult pool first. Overall I still said this is a very good villa because of the uniqueness and friendliness of the staff. Oh forgot to mention about the breakfast. They served each family separately. We had nasi lemak ( the best sambal! ), fried mee and bihun, also kuewtiau. Sometimes there are functions going on, like solemnizations, weddings and just office dinner. Parking is quite limited and if you decided to go out that night where they had events, better come back late around 10 or 11pm as there might not be a parking for you. Will recommend this to friends.

Gute Unterkunft für 1 Nacht
Reviewed By wusa93Bisher eine der besseren Unterkünfte. Badezimmer war aber leider nicht wirklich sauber geputzt und Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Sehr grosszügige Zimmer und Pool kann genutzt werden. Zentrum in Gehdistanz erreichbar. Würden wieder buchen.
