I didn’t have much expectations going to Legoland. Price was ok compared to Disney where in you have to queue for an hour per ride. Malaysian crew were polite and courteous. Rides were unique (well because I’m so used to Disneyland) my daughters loved the horse ride in the Kingdom Zone.
The Water Park section is a tad small compared to Singapores Water Park but all in all it’s a more controlled environment for my kids which is great.
A must try if you haven’t experienced Legoland Park yet.
Food is where it needs some work. Compared to other theme parks Legoland is on the poor side on the food department.
All in all great experience for me and my daughters.

Some notes :
- One of the first hills a new hiker would climb. As challenging as you want it to be.
- Popular among locals and Singaporeans. Expect large groups.
- Permits still not required, I think.
- Two trailheads.
- Fairly short but steep, wide, well-trodden trail.
- Ropes to aid climbers on the steep sections.
- Good views from its peak.
- Ample parking, shower facilities.
- Head to nearby Kluang for a celebratory meal.

While you must respect that this is Malaysia and not Europe or Australia you generally have pricing expectations when you visit a "Premium Outlet" of "Direct Factory Outlet"; some stores here are ridiculously expensive and I honestly doubt that they are at all viable for the local market.
The choice of brands are fantastic - we saw European products that we did not know existed - you are literally spoilt for choice.
The location is pretty remote; we took a taxi over and then rang them to collect us to take us back to JB. This worked out really well.
The architecture and the layout of the whole establishment was first class; we were impressed with the size and variety of retailers; although many were anything but "Outlet Sores" as their pricing was absolutely ridiculous by any standards!
The food court was definitely set up for local cuisine and once you realised that it worked on a card system it was fine; we enjoyed the local fare which was very moderately priced for the quality of the food.
There are also some decent cafe's dotted around the area and it was easy to find refreshment and public toilets.
While I personally am not a huge fan of "Outlet" precincts this one is one of the best we have visited and my wife managed to locate exactly what she was looking for; so it was a great day out for us.

We are there during the feeding time (around 4pm) and enjoy seeing the crocs fighting over food! The owner gave us an excellent tour of the farm, providing us info about the animal.
You could even take photo with a small Croc (after paying a small sum.. RM 2 I think).
A must to visit!!

60 years ago, it was THE place to go for locals to enjoy seaside picnics before the existence of some other seaside retreats in Batu Pahat. It's actually a rocky seaside/beach near a fishing village though children enjoy swimming and playing in the water. On weekends you will find anglers fishing both during the day and night as well as family and friends enjoying barbecue especially at night. Now there are food stalls selling fresh catch of the day that open from morning till night. It's not a 5-star seaside but good enough for the locals and perhaps visitors for a short weekend "beachy" getaway.
Historically, the beach was founded and named when the Siamese sailed down southwards from Malacca to look for fresh water. They dug a well on the hard rock using chisel and not water but thick oil oozed from the ground. Thus, came the names "Pantai Minyak Beku" (Frozen Oil Beach) and Batu Pahat Town (Chisel Stone Town).
Another most interesting tale about Minyak Beku is that it was believed once that if you wish to hold a wedding feast you could come to the well and call upon the spirit of the well to lend you some cookery utensils such as pots, pans and plates. Unfortunately, some people never returned the utensils or they were in a broken state that the spirit of the well has stopped being kind to the locals anymore.

There is no doubt that this is an impressive structure and well worth a visit but be aware that it is in all true sense of the word - under renovation and, according to our guide, has been for some time so don't expect to be able to go inside and view it. Its all peeled paint and cracked masonry from the outside. I would say you would need to spend no longer that 10 minutes given its 'at work' status.

The art mural walk is very near to the railway station. It is a lovely walk along the back alley and there are many murals to look at. There are also some 3-D artwork on the street. Definitely worth looking at when in Kluang as it depicts some icons of Kluang such as Gunung Lambak and the famous Kluang coffee.

A beautiful beach to enjoy the sea breeze. The waves are strong and the air is fresh. No lifeguard around within the vicinity. Not much activity on the beach and there’s a parking charge of RM4 per vehicle. One and only toilet to be found on the entire beach.

This is clearly an example of where an insignificant rural town also needs to have a shopping mall so it can boast "development".
The mall houses the obligatory fast-food restaurant chains. Looks like shops are selling items that were left over from the sales at KL malls 2 years ago.
On top floor many shop lots boarded up with notice that something exciting will open soon (haven´t seen anything happen in the 3 months I am in BP).
Maintenance seems an issue in the mall. Broken tiles, dirty walls, smelly toilets, leakage in ceiling on top floor. On the roof the concrete reinforcement bars are sticking out as if another floor will be added in better times.
There is absolutely no nice atmosphere here that makes shopping a nice experience.
