We went here for lunch. We were seated quickly. We were with a group so we were seated immediately. The food came out quickly. It was family style dining. The food was very good as were the sides. We have not been to the Ya Hala Restaurant in Jerash in several years so we were a bit apprehensive about this visit. To our astonishment the Ya Hala had improved dramatically with many new seating areas; A great new enhanced menu and most importantly the toilets have been enlarged and modernized! The ambiance and environment is so special that one does not want to leave after your great meal! The restaurant has many fountains and even one pond with 6 or 7 ducks that the kids, and adults, can feed with lettuce or left-over bread.It was so nice to see that several of the original employees were still there and their warmth and excitement in seeing us after such a long absence was heart-warming!Now most importantly both the food continues to be outstanding and very low priced and the service is exceptional.So if you find yourself in Jerash and want a solid meal I strongly suggest you try the Ya Hala restaurant, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

After crossing into Jordan and en route to the Jerish ruins we asked our ddriver to stop for liunch at a local restauraunt. We were surprised how many locals actually were dining here..service superb..food very authentic and delicious..clean and reasonbly priced

Stopped at Khayl&Layal for lunch on way to visit Jerash. Food served family style, plentiful fresh salads, warm bread.delicious Hummus. Moist grilled chicken & lamb kabobs-well spiced, mouth watering. Dessert a not too sweet milk & honey pudding with pistachio. Last day in Jordan, best food, affordable. Staff hospitable walked me to bus under umbrella. New- Lebanese cuisine opened 10/18.
