Rubinna by the Bay is not just a restaurant for me, it's a home coming. Though I don't live in Ishikawa-ken any more, I try hard to go back once a year to eat here. I really can't praise this place enough. Up front, I have developed a personal relationship with the owner and the staff. From the very first moment I walked through the doors there in 2005, they have treated me with so much love and kindness. I've spent almost every seminal event one would celebrate by going to dinner here; dating anniversaries, when I proposed to my wife we went here to celebrate, wedding anniversaries and Rubinna even catered our wedding which was really special for us.Ah, but what about the food? It's pitch perfect authentic Indian food. Really, you canât go wrong with anything on the menu, but try the chicken spinach curry (sagg chicken) or cashew chicken curry. The cream boneless chicken with garlic is also out of this world. The naan has won some awards for best naan in Japan. For dessert I recommend a mango lassie float. Like I said, the whole menu is wonderful. Rubinaa is a little out of the way, so it will help if you have your own transportation. It's near Kanazawa Ika digaku byouin (hospital) and the address is æ²³åé¡å ççºå¤§æ ¹ 7-120. They have an English menu, just in case you were wondering about that. Most of the staff speaks English well too.

We are small indian restaurant located in a historical area of central Kanazawa city. Here you can have authentic indian food for lunch and dinner. And we have relocated the restaurant to a very close new building, which is on another side of Seseragi St

We got there thanks to a very good recommendations we saw in a Japan travel FB group.And it was as promised delicious!We had fish curry, somosa and vegetable curry which all were excellent!Great service, nice and clean place - when you want to have a break from the Japanese dishes.. this is the place to go!!!The owner came and introduced himself, apparently his wife is originally from Nepal and that how they started this place! We loved it!!!

We like trying Indian food when we travel and since this restaurant was recommended by our travel agent, we decided to give it a whirl. Spice Box is a small, unassuming restaurant with a few stand-alone tables and a bar-seating option facing the kitchen where you can watch the cooks do their thing. The owner was interesting to talk to and told us a bit about his move to Japan from Sri Lanka, which made the dining experience extra special. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the experience and recommend this restaurant for Indian food in Kanazawa.
