Dropped in one morning and ordered continental breakfast. Not expensive but a little disappointing. 2 slices of anaemic toast, 2 fried eggs( fried in a continental breakfast?) a square slice of processed ham and a square slice of processed cheese. Expected better.

Taverna Capricorn

Traditional homemade food, homemade sweets, coffee, fresh juices Open every day and in winter time. As featured in the Telegraph Newspaper.

Reviewed By ewelamb_74

The Taverna Capricorn was the only one of Old Perithia Village’s establishments open on the day of our visit (out of season). It’s a traditional establishment in the village square with indoor /outdoor seating and much old world (slightly haphazard) charm. Corinna, one of the owners, was initially coping alone with a sudden influx of tourists, and did an admirable, smiling job under pressure until reinforcements arrived in the shape of her husband. The food was fresh and tasty, with a number of traditional Greek / Corfiote dishes on the menu, and the service was friendly and smiling. The slice of orange cake we shared at the end of the meal was huge and to die for.

Agios Stefanos (Kassiopi) as opposed to Agios Stefanos (Avliotes) - almsot directly west of this one, on the west coast. We stayed here years ago in 2004. It rained. But even so, San Stefanos (as we got used to calling it) was lovely. Quiet and relaxed. Fast forward 15 years and it's busier with many more rag'n'stick boats in the bay, and more shops and tavernas. Never seen any celebs there (supposed to be a favourite haunt of slebs) but for me, that's a good thing. We came back to have a look and remember when the kids were young, and weren't disappointed. Had a great coffee and snack in the Kaparelli, and an enjoyable conversation with the young Greek waiter who was telling up about the only type of snake in the world which, if you leave it to live quietly in your house, will attack unwelcome visitors and can break their legs with a single flick of its tail.So awed were we by the power and companionship of such a snake, that we in turn told him about the Australian drop bears which my wife hadn't seen on a recent visit to Australia (though she was warned to beware). A near relative of the koala bear, the drop bear is much bigger and a voracious hunter. It drops out of the eucalyptus trees onto its hapless prey - which sometimes includes humans.....But by then, we'd finished our coffee and snacks and complimentary lemon cake (delicious!) and it was time to go. Great fun, and a very pleasant way to spend 45 minutes!San Stefanos is wonderful, still.

Trilogia Restaurant

A romantic setting beneath the ancient castle walls, magnificent views overlooking beaches, rocks and the sea: a friendly, unhurried atmosphere and of course excellent wines and cuisine!

Food served cold. Excessive waiting before you can get any service. Very average food. Rude staff who just plonk plates down in front of you and if you complain then they just ignore you. Worst meal of my whole stay in Kassiopi. Comes across as a very pretentious place who insists upon itself instead of looking after it's customers.

Taverna Glyfa

Taverna Glyfa is a family run restaurant. Offering everyday fresh fish. Whilst eating a wonderful meal you have a view of Corfu Town, Ipsos and many more places along the coast. The taverna has a full working jetty for all the sailers that are out there.

We love Taverna Glyfa...and so do many celebrities! But we like it for the great food, the great service and the great location. The team work hard there and are always up for some banter. The fish is possibly the freshest on the island, so its all good. If you are in the region, we recommend you call in but book as its very busy! Best Wishes David, Jen and Family.

Taverna Levanda

Reviewed By RBackpacker

We dropped in here on our first evening in Kassiopi as the tavernas along the harbour were fully booked.Five of us enjoyed a lovely, well cooked meal for €109 including wine by the carafe and soft drinks, so at around €22 per head not bad value for Corfu (which tends to be a little more expensive than the other Ionian islands, but still a lot cheaper than the UK).We shared two big plates of calamari as a starter, along with bread and tapanaki and a very garlicy (but tasty) butter.I had the Greek lamb which was a huge lamb shank with roasted vegetables. Others on our party has the chicken souvlaki, the lamb chops and one had meatballs and spaghetti. All were enjoyed and the portions were generous. Through a translation issue (fries and rice are easy to mix up) the souvlakis came with fries instead of rice as ordered. The waiter quickly brought separate bowls of rice to the table even though we said we were ok with the fries. As is often the case in Greece, the bill was served up along with complementary cake, in this case a deliciously moist orange cake.I’m pleased we found this taverna on a very busy Sunday evening, would be happy to recommend it.
