We had lunch in this restaurant in the very center of Idrija when we were visiting Idrija.
We ordered a typical local dish called "Idrijski žlikrofi" and it was very good. The service was OK, staff frindly, athmosfere OK. The restaurant is upstairs which is not very convinient.
But we were satisfied and had a nice time. Also not very expensive.

I visited Barbara several times in last 20 or more years, and always ate well; therefore this visit is a real disappointment. The waiters cleaned the dishes from the previous guests, but did not bother to remove breadcrumbs from the table. But, OK, the Terrace was full. But then, we waited almost an hour to get a pizza and a simplest of all chicken dishes, grilled breast. Other people waited, too, and the dishes were coming haphazardly, one person got his and then other person after 15 minutes, and the third one after 10 more minutes.
The food was average and on the pricey side for the quality. Sorry to say that I'm probably not coming back.

i am totally amazed of todays experience in this charming restaurant. The chef came to every table, chatted and took orders.
the staff is totally professional, friendly and have a smile in their faces.
the location is amazing. cant wait to be there in summer time to sit outside and enjoy the view over the vipava valley
it was not a problem to bring my dog wilma with me.
the quality of food you get offered is amazing. every dish is like a piece of art.
last but not least - the prices are more than acceptable. it is more than in normal restaurants bur if you go for slow food and high end you would expect minimum twice the amount.
all in all a perfect time there. that is why we immediatelly made a reservation for my bday kn june.

Local food, žlikrofi, is on the top. We took type of žlikrofi, Primavera and Bakalca and was very tasteful. Waiters were quick and kind. Pizza was also pretty good. Prices are great too.

We ended up in this local restaurant by chance on a Saturday for a late lunch. The home made "zilkofi" pasta is absolutely delicious. The owner welcomed us so nicely that we ended up wine-tasting most of his wine selection...for free! It was a truly enjoyable afternoon.

Very pleasant, calmfull, people-friendly place to eat in the center of Idrija. The food has its own recognizeable taste, a mixture between traditional and modern type of cousine.
The best to try is Žlikrofi tris (10€), which includes three types (traditional ones, salmon & seafood ones, and asparagus with cream ones; also by your choice) of a special local recognized food called Žlikrofi (potato balls with herbs, wraped in a dough, formed in a Napoleon shaped hats 3 cm small masterpiece). They even have Žlikrofi as a sweet (dry fruits - pears,apple, cinnamon and honey).
During the week Žlikrofplac offers at least two delicious main courses for brunch / lunch (5,5€), which includes main course, salat / desert and a drink. We have been there many times and have not been dissapointed yet!
