What a lovely little French retreat. Great food, great staff and great service. Classic French cuisine at its finest. Would definitely recommend and will have no hesitation in going back. Thank you Bouchon for a great evening.

Danielles' Bistro is an excellent restaurant just tucked away off the main street in Hexham. The cuisine is British and Mediterranean and the servings are generous. This restaurant also offers a set 2-course lunch menu for a mere £10.95 And a set evening menu from £15.75 Which is available all night Tuesday - Friday. The interior is rustic and traditional and offers Seating for up to 60 covers. It is advisable to book your table as Danielles' is regularly busy.

yet another faultless trip to Danielles with a group of friends from my local gym.
services is always friendly and attentive while the food remains for the highest quality.
there was around 15 of us, its always going to be tricky for a restaurant to serve so many at the same time, which Danielles managed superbly.
i could rattle of a list of food ate and critique each dish but as everything was excellent i don't see much point
Needless to say, there wasn't an morsel of food left., which tells all
the only down side was that i wasn't aware of the new gin menu so i didn't try any but no doubt i will be back in the very near future and will do so then

I wouldn't recognise this place from the other recent reviews. I booked because it advertises through the Gourmet Society offering members 50% discount on all meals and we were in the area. My own impression of the bar was unfavourable, with a limited choice of beer on tap and a not particularly friendly welcome. Together with another early dining couple we were put to wait in a rather dingy lounge area; in due course the man we presumed to be the chef stormed through with a face like thunder looking for all the world like someone who had been dragged out of bed because the real chef had just phoned in sick.. we and our fellow diners had a little giggle about this, albeit a bit nervously. Eventually our order was taken, and then at last we were ushered into the dining room. I suspect the lady serving meals was the hostess and she was very kind, but seemed distracted; and the meal, when it arrived (slowly) wasn't up to much. Best forgotten, really. I think we caught them on a bad night. The other diners left before finishing their meal too... and at payment time we were only given 25% off the bill, and that rather grudgingly (the whole point of the discount card is to attract custom so it is subscribed to by the establishment). But by then we just wanted to leave, so I said nothing and paid up.

Had a great Sunday lunch here last month. The staff were very friendly and the food was superb. Great atmoshere. Would have given a 5 but we ate through the back and the room was cold. Will certainly eat here again.

Pleased we were running late, well a member of the party was but we were on time, to be honest they were glad as the place was flat out busy.
It suited both parties.
The service was slow but they got there in the end.
I had lamb rogan and it was the best I've ever had. Everyone else had great food also.
There's a great range of dishes on offer.
House wine is very nice and again reasonably priced.
They were flat out busy and this has to be testament to the good quality food served.
A very enjoyable evening.

First time there for a family of four Sunday lunch was
First class Lovely fresh vegetables beautiful cuts of meat
And home made Yorkshire puddings would recommend it
To any one one of the best restaurants we have been to

Slaley Rose and Crown is a grade 2 listed building and is owned and operated by the community which it serves. It is currently the only community owned pub/restaurant in the North East. We guarantee you a warm welcome and will serve you with freshly cooked, locally sourced food prepared in house by our expert Head Chef. We are a Freehouse and stock a good range of beers, real ales, wines, spirits, soft drinks etc. We have comfortable recently refurbished B&B letting rooms and are currently working on a flat which we propose to rent as holiday accommodation. Please phone for details. We are situated in the heart of the Northumberland countryside and enjoy spectacular views to the rear.

A small village pub offering a good selection of food. We both had lamb which was well cooked and very tasty. Portions were ample and vegetables enjoyed. Staff welcoming.

Lovely cafe right next to the car park. Comfortable Seating and great coffee. Lovely gluten free carrot cake very clearly home made which was a real treat. Other choices were available and of course other cakes which my partner said was excellent. Will definitely return when we're next in Hexham

A cafe with an interesting and extensive range of hot and cold sandwiches, quiches, salads, jacket potatoes and soups which go well beyond the normal humdrum (eg Indonesian tomato, chickpea and coconut).
Good provision for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
This vibrant town-centre cafe has friendly table service with a contemporary feel with a choice of chairs and table, stools and even a sofa.
Has a huge range fo Teapigs products.
This is a shining star in an otherwise very dowdy town which has clearly gone down hill since we had family living in the area upto 17 years ago.
