A small family run Greek restaurant in the walking area of Bensheim serving very nice Greek food. It is quite small and so tables are very close to each other. The food is freshly prepared and the service staff are friendly and polite and English speaking. it is popular and so booking is recommended. The prices are high though, but being very popular suggests that they are acceptable.

Das war ein Abendessen aller erste Güte. Der Salat schmackhaft, die gegrillten Peperoni sehr sehr lecker und die Grillplatte einmalig. Das Fleisch nicht totgebacken, sehr saftig uns sehr sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Man muss hier nur rechtzeitig reservieren, da es sehr gut besucht wird. Wir kommen wieder.

Our friends, whom we were visiting, took us to Rhodos (âRhodesâ) for Sunday lunch, as it was their favorite Greek restaurant and the longest-standing one in town. We could see why â the restaurant is family-run and the ambience was very down-to-earth and cozy, although the décor was more rustic German than Greek. The meat was tasty and way too plentiful; the salad was a bit plain and the vegetables overcooked, but with all the other good stuff it did not hurt to just leave them on the plate. Their friendly, attentive staff and a shot of Ouzo on the house rounded out a perfect Sunday lunch.

Das Saloniki befindet sich auf dem Gelände des TC Bensheim. Somit hat man beim Essen einen super Ausblick auf die Tennisplätze inkl. jeder Menge Werbeplakate. Das weià man aber vorher und es ist kein Grund für einen Punktabzug.Die Bedienung ist durchweg freundlich, könnte jedoch etwas aufmerksamer sein. So standen z.B. unsere Gläser recht lange leer vor uns, ohne dass jemand Notiz davon genommen hätte. Das Essen war sehr gut zubereitet und frisch. Was uns aber massiv gestört hat, ist die Tatsache, dass man hier getäuscht wird.Wir sind Liebhaber der griechischen Küche und hatten unsere Gerichte mit einem Bauernsalat bestellt. Was kam, war ein 08/15 Salat aus gehobeltem WeiÃkohl unter seeehr viel Blattsalat. AlibimäÃig lagen noch 2 Viertel einer Tomate, 3 Stück Gurke, 3 schwarze Oliven, etwas Feta und eine Peperoni bei. Sorry, aber das hat mit einem Bauernsalat nichts zu tun. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns lapidar mitgeteilt, dass das ein Bauernsalat nach Art des Hauses sei. In meinen Augen ist das eine ganz schwache Ausrede. Vermutlich wird man hier mit einem billigen Salat abgespeiÃt, damit das Restaurant den doch günstigen Preis halten kann. Hier sollte dringend nachgebessert werden, denn so vergrault man nur die Gäste.
