The doner is good and the durum is made when you order it, so it is not frozen. The guys working there are nice and friendly. I go often there.

What a find, great service , in door and outdoor seating great range of food and very cheap. No alcohol but non alcoholic beverages available. Had pizza which was tasty with a small salad, and a mixed starter followed by Turkish Tea. So an international setting in one place.

I was always joking about being so surprised to see a Turkish restaurant in Giessen (as there are so many--maybe too many--how they stay open is a mystery). Having said that and never trying the cuisine before in Giessen, I dropped spontaneously in on Istanbul Restaurant and was happy with my experience.I ordered some sort of doner plate with moist pieces of the meat with two lovely roasted hot peppers. What I liked is it didn't come with bread and it was tasty. All under 10 Euro for lunch including drink.Though the waiter was polite and friendly, it took him a while to stop a personal conversation with a table to serve me in the very busy restaurant.If I get into the desire to have Turkish again, I wouldn't hesitate to return--very likely for lunch.

Kein Restaurant, ein Imbiss mit sehr leckeren Döner.Fahren oft vorbei um dort etwas mitzunehmen.Eine Empfehlung für den schnellen Hunger.

Habe dort den Orient Teller probiert. Da ich keine Pommes wollte wurde der Teller mit Döner Fleisch (sehr gut gewürzt) und Salat aufgefüllt. Es handelte sich dabei ausschlieÃlich um frische Ware. Obenauf kam eine sehr schmackhafte JoghurtsoÃe. Das Personal war pfiffig,schnell und zuvorkommend und zum Preis / Leistungsverhältnis kann man auch nichts negatives sagen.Wer Döner gerne und häufig iÃt, sollte ihn dort einmal testen.

Wir waren spontan in das Restaurant eingekehrt nach einem Einkauf in Giessen.Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt und Ortsunkundige sollte sich nicht scheuen in die Sackgasse zu fahren :-).Das Ambiente ist sehr nett gemacht und es erwartet einen ein netter und sehr freundlicher Service.Tolle Türkische und ein paar Griechische Gerichte stehen auf der Karte.Gute und endlich mal auch wirklich Türkische Gerichte, sehr gut abgeschmeckt, nicht überwürzt und frisch zubereitet.Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, vor allem auch die ruhige Atmosphäre (natürlich fährt auch ab und zu ein Zug vorbei ).Auch gut geeignet für kleinere Feiern.Wir kommen jedenfalls wieder
