My family of four (4 year old and 1 year old) ate here tonight while on the road. It's just a few minutes off the highway and had good reviews so we decided to give it s shot. The service was maybe the best we've had in 2 years of living in Europe. A highchair was available as well as a children's menu. The menu has plenty of choices. My husband ordered linguine that was fantastic. While it was hot it was added to a carved out wheel of parm before serving and topped with what looked like brusetta topping. The kiddos loved the mild tortellini soup. Our server was very attentive and so was the manager/ owner. Prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is nice since it is in a log house. We will stop in again when back in the area.

Wir haben heute Pizza und Pasta bestellt (über Lieferando) Es war superlecker, meine Pasta habe ich mir selber zusammengestellt und sie war perfekt.Mein Mann hatte Pizza, die dort immer Top ist.Sonst bestellen wir auch gern "Indisch" und sind auch dann sehr zufrieden.Die Lieferzeit war viel kürzer als angegeben und das Essen war heià und sah sehr appetitlich aus.

Hier kan man bei schönem Wetter draussen sitzen, die Kinder können rumtollen oder auf dem Bouleplatz spielen. Das Essen ist super lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, Wünsche werden einem von den Augen abgelesen, gerne wieder.

We discovered Bei Josef when we moved to Burstadt a few miles down the road and it soon became our favorite restaurant in the area. Great pasta, steaks and salad. My favorite was the steak with gorgonzola. It was served with fettuccini noodles and gorgonzola sauce over both. This place is always crowded but you can go early and beat the rush. Finish the meal with a spaghetti-eis. You will not be disappointed in Bei Josef.

When you think of Italian restaurant think of Pizzeria Sole D'oro! 'The hole in the wall' family run restaurant. Propriator Biagio aka Gino will make you an unforgettable food experience. Very attentive and great service. His lovely wife cooks in the kitchen brother in law behind the bar. Food is great and so is the price.

Family owned place, warm welcome and fast service. The smile came only when I left the tips. Italians are usually much more friendly, but the food and seating comfort were nice for this middle of nowhere.

We were driving back from Speyer and decided we needed to stop for a bite. My wife found this restaurant on a site and we decided to give it a try and man were we happy we did. The restaurant is about 10 minutes off the A5 or A67 so it didn't take too long to get there. We got there early (1800/6pm) and it was empty, although it did fill up as we ate. We each tried a different appetizer and were all ecstatic about our choices, I strongly recommend the gefüllt Champignons and the Bruschetta. The Bearnaise sauce on the mushrooms was just amazing and the Bruschetta was delicious. We also each had a different meal and all were again way better than what you would think to find in a small town restaurant. I had the Calzone, which had probably the tastiest crust I had ever had on a pizza of any time. My wife had the Meerfrüchte Pasta and could not stop raving about it. Our friends had the Kurbis Pasta which came in a delectable sauce and the Beef and Potatoes (sorry, don't remember the name) but it came with some of the best tasting onion strings I've ever had. Overall, an amazing little restaurant and we decided that when we travel home from the South, we will definitely be stopping in again. In fact, on the way home, we were trying to think of other trips we could make to the South as an excuse to stop by for a meal.

Gio ist der wohl beste Lieferservice für italienisches Essen in der ganzen Region. Man kann auch Essen im Geschäft abholen. Es gibt einen kleinen Wartebereich zum Sitzen und man sieht zu, wie alle Speisen zubereitet werden. Davor ist ein gröÃerer Parkplatzbereich und eigentlich immer ein Platz frei (dort gab es einst eine alteingesessene, sehr beliebte Videothek). Die Pizzen sind ein Gedicht, eine Freude für den Gaumen. Aber auch andere Gerichte sind lecker, insbesondere der italienische Salat hat es mir dort angetan. Die zahlreiche Jugend des benachbarten Schachvereins in der RiedstraÃe pilgert dort freitags regelmäÃig hin...

We found this just by coincidence as we looked for a place to have dinner in Gernsheim. This was really a nice surprise, as we just walked in, immediately felt the warmth of Italian hospitality. Coming from Rome we felt at home. Food was exquisite and not pretentious; same for the house wine. Service was great. The whole experience was just amazing! And on top of all that an incredibly low â¬. I haven't seen this kind of value for money for a while, especially in Germany!

It was Sunday when many a town in Germany is pretty closed up but we happened upon Gernsheim while traveling from Frankfurt to Mannheim and there was a fair going on so shops were open; there were food trucks too but we stopped in this lovely, quaint old building housing Ristorante il Gufo. What luck!. We enjoyed a delicious meal - 1 Wienerschnitzel and 1 hand rolled noodles with tomato sauce - both excellent. The service was attentive and friendly and we were oh so lucky.
