Went on Friday, March 04, with friends who live nearby and 1 from Nuremburg on my first night in Rodgau. Excellent food (picture) and presentation. Great service. Dining area was quite busy; as is usual I learned. I would definitely return here and recommend it to a friend. My friend from Nuremburg stayed here 2 nights and very much enjoyed the accommodations.

For me maybe the best german restaurant in Offenbach region. The food is fresh made and served in huge quantities, service is good, the place very calm and pleasant. You can enjoy the nice weather on their sunny terrace or stay away from winter cold in the old windmill. Moerover the prices are very reasonable. I was there many times for different reasons (business, family, friends...) and never had to regret it.

A nice surprise in a small town 30 minutes outside of Frankfurt Main. If you are in the area, this is well worth stopping at for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a great Sunday Brunch. It is right by the side of the rail station so there is also plenty of parking.Pleasant and helpful service in a Bistro style decor. Good variety of food at reasonable prices. You must try the soups!

We have been there to celebrate grandmothers jubilee.We had a 3-course-menu for only 20⬠each, which was of really good quality.The service was quite good and always polite.The atmosphere is a bit rustic, but in a lovely location in an old castle with nice gardens around.I suggest to make a reservation in advance, especially weekends.

We came here tonight without a reservation and very much enjoyed our stay. The place is very nicely designed and even offered live music.Our waiter was amazing, he came back so many times to check on us, he knew our entire drink order which we placed with his colleague and he really made our evening.Food was very good and we enjoyed the local appetizers (Tapas from Hesse), the steak and salads.I would definitely be back.

I'll start by letting you know that no one at this restaurant will admit to speaking English, their is no English menu, and it really has the feel of a restaurant that's been there for 50 years and little has changed, perhaps exempting 2 or 3 of the patrons. That's great, because that was just the experience I wanted to have. It's interesting always being around college educated Germans, they all speak English quite well, and you never get to practice your German. But when you find a good working class restaurant, you get both authentic food and the chance to say things absolutely incorrectly to the amusement of the locals.Having said all that, the food was excellent. The prices are remarkably reasonable for Germany. And the house beer outstanding. I had the schnitzle Katje, which is a very good (and large) pork filet covered in a tasty mushroom cream sauce (and tater tots, but you can't have everything). It comes with the obligatory German salad, but Katje's did this quite well, with a nice home made dressing. I also had the Goulash Soup, and that was a special delight on a cold winter day.Katje's is completely special because it is "nothing special". That is, they don't "try" to be "authentic", they simply are. The people there don't look for the "real" German experience. They simply were real Germans enjoying a night at a local, comfortable, home-cooking restaurant. And just like we would look for meatloaf or fried chicken as comfort food, everything on their menu screams German comfort food. (Do you like pork?)Be warned. they don't take credit cards, but there is a cash machine just down the block. Parking is easy. If you're having a flight from the airport the next day, you can do far worse than showing up at this great local place (about 10 miles from FRA) to enjoy a comfortable night with the locals and one or two takes at their very good brew.

Wir waren als Paar mit Freunden oder Familie schon öfter im Kaffe K.Das sagt eigentlich schon alles :-)In schönen Ambiente, mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung und das bei zivilen Preisen kommen wir immer wieder gerne!!

A Trip to this restaurant is a must when staying in Obertshausen, indeed we ate there twice in our week-long stay. On warmer evenings, there is a huge outdoor eating area otherwise there is comfortable seating around the bar on the ground floor and upstairs on the first floor. The food is traditional German fayre, prepared on site and absolutely delicious - add to that a good range of German beer on tap and you have the makings of good night out. Excellent value for money also.

Restaurant Seeblick is located just outside Obertshausen at the end of a dirt track leading away from the main road towards Heusenstamm and whilst the photos on their website perhaps don't do the place justice - it really is a hidden gem! The restaurant occupies a nice position on the banks of a lake with an attractive terrace (although it was raining at the time of our visit, so the terrace was closed). The food had a typically local flavour and was very tasty and excellent value for money. A varied choice of drinks were also on offer and this is a place I would definitely return to.
