I ate here in November 2015 and felt like in childhood. The place is small and cozy, with friendly quiet locals chatting over beer. The ceiling was full of hand-made Santas which are for sale. The food was heart-warming and filling, a collection of Bavarian and local specialties. I truly recommend it.

Travelling from Mannheim to Hannover I stopped for a quick and healthy stop - bull's eye!Although there was no table for me, the waiter found a place at a table. I ordered salad and juice and got served within Minutes. Everything fresh and crispy, the beef tender and still hot - delicious! Many thanks, I shall be back!

Again I must admit I have been to this tower and Cafe some 40+ years ago with my late parents and it was again a real treat to re-visit together with my sister and family. The tower itself is a must to visit for every person who comes to Marburg because the views are the absolute best one can get from Marburg and the surrounding countryside in a breathtaking 360 panorama view. The acre is cute but the menu is very limited. The coffee is good and the ice cream we ordered was a vanilla scoop with three cherries at almost 4 € which was pricy but tasty yet small. My brother-in-law ordered a "Brotzeit", 2 slices of bread with smoked sausage (Aleworscht) and it was very good with good alive for money. The service was friendly and efficient and we will be back the next time I visit "my old town of Marburg"!

Came here with family. BBQ ribs came cold to the table and toothpicks are required to remedy its dryness too. The BBQ sausage of my mom was burned and the fish of my kids had no taste what so ever. This restaurant is highly overrated. Service came 3 times to our table with someone else's order. A big drop since my last years visit. Just a sad place. Very beautiful location though with nice garden and kids playground. Thanks for your review and sorry for the delay in replying your review. Since last year we reconsidered our concept and improved a lot - from kitchen to staff and service. We hope we will see you again in the future, to convince you of the opposite. Sincerly, your Waldschlösschen team

Walking in Wetzlar is not so easy..The stairs may be steep, the stones old..Unknown early in the evening tired looking for a place to eat. The Ratsschänke looked good, and yes, we were not too early (about 5.30 pm). Looking on the menu - various very nice meals, very reasonable priced and specialties. Excellent house wine for a modest price. And the food was prepared..just delicious! Not once, but we went back another two times in the week - and always excellent service, excellent food - very nice place, not too big, cosy. Just go!

If you want to try Auflauf (the dish that Marburg/the surrounding area is particularly known for), this is a great place to do it. The Auflauf is a bit heavy, so keep that in mind. There are also other food options. The inside is really cozy, with big windows and good lighting. It's good for small and large groups, and is quite inexpensive. The beer is also great. Can't recommend this place enough!

I visited Zur Sonne with my colleagues and the food was good. I had the pork loin and it was tender and tasty. The only complaint I have is that the food took some time to come out and we asked for more water 4 times. I'm not sure if they're not used to handling large groups. Other than the wait, the food was enjoyable.

It was a lovely evening so after a walk up to the castle, this was an easy choice. The menu was quite limited but the food was excellent. My Hereford steak and chips with Caesar salad was divine. The desserts menu was even more limited (2 choices) but the ice cream with red berries was very good. The service could have been quicker but I was in no particular hurry. Worth a visit if you’re up by the castle.
