We were staying at the Marburger Hof, and got back late one evening. Didn't feel like a full dinner, but wanted something light. We decided to try Domingo's, the Spanish restaurant with an entrance on the west side of the hotel lobby. A menu on a stand outside the door helped us find what we wanted. Since it was so late (after 9pm, as I recall), we were almost the only folks there. The decor of the restaurant was quite nice, and the staff was friendly. We ordered just the mixed salad, and tea, and finished with ice cream & fruit all around. The dishes were good--not large, but certainly sufficient. Overall, for a party of four, our bill came to about 40 Euros. Not cheap for salad and dessert, but not too out of line for Germany (which includes a built-in 19% tax). Overall, an enjoyable meal. Hopefully, next time we're in town, we'll certainy to try Domingo's for a proper dinner.

It's like being in Italy while staying in Germany. The owners will treat you like family guests, service is friendly and always with a smyle. Food is 100% italian style and flavour and the pasta will surely be "al dente". Fish is fresch and simply cooked. Try it, quality/price is excellent.

that is forced to double as a normal "beim Griechen" kind of thing because in a provincial town like Marburg, gourmet restaurants have a very tough stand. I have never had Souvlaki or Gyros here, but their fresh fish (from the Frankfurt Grossmarkt) is always excellent, outstanding, and - expensive, while worth the price. Yesterday, swordfish was on the menu as well, also as part of the legendary Fish Platter for two or more, which now sells at €90 (€45 per person). It was excellent and indeed world class, including the labgustinos, the polpe, and the vegetables. Potatoes are okay and since they do a mean fried bread, I would recommend some substitution. I would say that the fish soup and the salad with fish are also very recommendable. Great prompt friendly service, fairly priced wine and a good atmosphere make this indeed one of the top five restaurants in Marburg.Vielen Dank für die Bewertung! :) A.Kallioras & Team Taverna Korfu
