We've been twice and the second time was even better than the first. The restaurant is comfortable, light & airy. You can watch the barges go by on the Main. The service for us is good & friendly, apparently not for everybody if you believe the reviews. Wine & beer are good. The food is good. The meats are well cooked and of high quality. You need to work through the menu to determine what it is you like. The deserts are very good. If we were to criticise at all it would be that the starters don't match what comes after. Is it expensive? It's not cheap, but we frequent restaurants who ask much more. The reviewers who seem to expect wagyu beef for a low price might need to adjust their expectations to reality.

We came for dinner with a larger group and found a nice place in the shade. All service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Food came quickly and in large portions. Everything tasted great. Nudeln, Pizza und Salate wirklich gut - Fleisch habe ich dort noch nicht gegessen. Leider wechseln häufig die Bedienungen - sind zwar mäÃig jedoch regelmäÃig dort und mussten dies feststellen. Manchmal sind junge Damen da, die es besser lassen sollten- vollkommen überlastet- schon mit dem Bringen der Karte. Dies kann dann auch der immer zuvorkommende Chef nicht rausreisen. manchmal trifft durch die auÃerhaus Bestellungen eine Ãberlastung der Küche auf - welche leider zu Lasten der Restaurantbesucher geht. Hier sollte das Restaurant Vorzug haben, die Leute mit Abholungen sollten dann halt länger warten. Preis-Leistung ist gut - jedoch nicht billig

It's a fairly typical German restaurant. It only has a small selection on the menu but what they serve is tasty and typical German food from this region. The atmosphere is rather typical for this kind of location as well, do not expect anything too fancy.

We stayed at the Best Western Frankfurt Airport on 30 October and had dinner at Zur Scheune on 30 October. The steaks were marvelous. The restaurant was a little difficult to find but is adjacent to a pay lot. After dinner we enjoyed a quick walk through the village.

The hotel Monika is okay. It's not expensive, the rooms are clean, though a bit run down. The shower has a knee hugging Norman Bates curtain. You cannot leave the window open, because of the traffic noise. However, it was okay, it was for one night and conveniently close to my appointment the next day.The restaurant, however, is what makes it worth your while. Good food, friendly service, nice wine. There were business people, but also quite a few local people.
