We often stop for coffee here, mostly on a Sunday afternoon after walking our (mad) cocker spaniels on th beach. yesterday we took our DFL friends and their border terrier for a beach dog walk and lunch at the Sunset Surf after. It was a really, really nice lunch of bubble & squeek for ur friends and Xmas ciabbattas for us. We were able to reserve a table about an hour before, and the service was nice and quick, with helpful and friendly staff, just hope it stays open out of season for us coffee needing locals!

The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily throughout the years. The restaurant is a popular choice with both tourists and locals and offers a warm intimate setting spread over 3 small dining rooms displaying local art. Our aim in the restaurant is to offer you some of the tastiest vegetarian and vegan dishes from around the world. Bringing you the best flavours means using the best quality ingredients. We therefore use local, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible. We are members of the Vegetarian Society's Food & Drinks Guild. This means that all of the ingredients that we use have been approved by The Vegetarian Society.
Spent a very relaxing few hours dining and a good bottle of wine the food was very good well put together and very tasty i had the curry with lots of trimmings my partner had the bourguignon and loved it, cheese board and the chocolate mud cake to finish. Yum Yum.
Everything was presented well and the young waitress was very attentive.
I'm a vegetarian an find it difficult sometimes finding somewhere where the food is to my liking.
We will be back.

We have a beautiful apartment available for single nights or longer. Sleeps 2 - lovely for any couple, but it can also be booked for self catering breaks.
We signed up for the Nostalgia Evening (otherwise known as ‘FINGS AIN’T WOT THEY USED T’BE’) last Friday, 26th January, and I can honestly say we haven't had so much fun in years. Chris is an amazing raconteur (unfortunately struggling with a persistent cough on that evening) and we were amazed to discover how much we remembered from the 50s onward, despite some of his testing questions.
There was a choice of four main courses and three desserts, all for the price of £22.50 including the entertainment. Don't miss the chance to enjoy one of the next two evenings on either 3rd March or 6th April.

Becks has expanded into a restaurant with bar and lounge area to complement the still thriving take-away. The restaurant area itself seats over 100 people. Becks does not take Reservations, although notification of parties over 9 people is recommended. The main selling point and one of the major credentials is that Becks offer gluten free options. All types of fish (Cod, Haddock, Hake, Plaice), scampi and pizzas are available with this option. For customers choosing to sit in the restaurant there is also a range of desserts on offer that are gluten free. Becks is the only fish and chip shop in a 6 mile radius that offer gluten free products.
There is a reason why the queue is outside the door and heading in to the car park on a Friday night and this is because Becks serves the best fish and chips in the area. We have only ever had takeaways but this is a regular Friday night treat when we are in the area. Good value and portions are large.

Bistro and bar in the heart of Hayle, located in Foundry Square next to the estuary. Casual dining for all the family serving fresh home cooked food from breakfast all the way through to dinner. Well established and popular with the locals, Salt offers a relaxed environment in the beautiful Whites Warehouse, where customers can relax with quality coffee, very tasty food, and a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. A must-try if visiting Hayle....
Well the title probably says it all but it was an excellent meal. I had the salt burger and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, not like some of the cardboard burgers you can get in other places. The sweet potato fries topped it off nicely. My colleague and I also had starters and the chorizo cheesy melt thing is so good, I mean to die for good! Great flavour and I could have eaten so much more of it. Thankfully I tried to save room for desert as the waffle was too tempting to turn down. Though I felt so full at the end of it I practically rolled out of the place. I'm definitely going back next time i'm here.

Great service from the young lady too with a substantial menu. Newly refurbished too....MoreThank you for your review..and braving the grim weather! Hope to see you again.

The pub has now reopened after a refurbishment and is under new management. Food is now available every evening and at lunch times on weekends with fantastic homemade roasts every Sunday. We serve traditional homemade pub meals! The Inn currently offers tribute and two other guest ales as well as a selection of lagers and Cornish ciders.

Cornish Pasty Makers. Private family run business since 1958.
Life is always good when you have a Pasty in your hand. Today it was a Philps Pasty.
The Flakey ones were just out of the oven so we went for them.
In my own opinion, not a winner. I’d rather the normal ones. But we’re all different and so be it.
