We, a family of three with an adult daughter, wanted to have dinner in Nijmegen after a wonderful day out. We decided to go to Restaurant Voldaan, where we had dinner before one or two years ago. At the time it was OK. This time it was much and much better. Not only was the food very good and our dishes beautifully arranged, we also enjoyed watching the chef/owner of the restaurant work with great passion and enthusiasm in the open kitchen. An excellent dinner after a great day. We can recommend Voldaan to everyone.Beste heer/mevrouwAllereerst hartelijk dank voor uw recensie.Wij zijn erg verheugd dat uw bezoek aan restaurant Voldaan u goed is bevallenen zien u graag een volgende keerDankuwelTeam Voldaan

We went this evening to restaurant De Nieuwe Winkel, because it has a great recommendation on tripadvisor. It is a small cousy restaurant with trendy staff. We could choose between meet (chicken), fish or vegetarian menu. Because we had some appetite we choose the 6 courses menu with fish. You get something different comparing to other fancy places. We choose fish, so you expect some fish. One of the starters had a bit of fish in it and that was it. The main course was a tasty piece of a carrot (but then purple) and the second main course some beet. Loved the dessert most. A tasty appel and a nice vegie cheesecake variation. We had a nice evening, but at the end we had to laugh about it. If we would go here with our parents they would call us crazy. 160 euro for a petit carrot and beet as main-course. Ridiculous. So if you are a vegetarian and you want something tasty this is the place, but you pay a lot for it. If you want a nice piece of fish or meat better go to another place.

Everything about this restaurant is right... the decor, the lighting, the space and noise levels, even when crowded, and the pleasant and informative service. Oh, yes..... and the food!!! The food: ... we chose a 'surprise'menu, each course came with a different wine... both the food and the wine were excellent. This restaurant was maybe somewhat above our normal budget but it was worth every penny (eurocent!). Treat you self!

One of the few places in Groesbeek open on Sunday morning. Most open at 2pm too late for lunch, but this place has plenty of nice sandwiches and Dutch lunch specialties on the menu. Couple next to us were having croissants with jam while we were having a Dutch uitsmijter (eggs sunny side up with bacon on bread) and their signature B.E.L.T. sandwich (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato). It was scrumptious. The terrace is nicely done with plenty of choice for sun or shade. Finally, the price is right. Definitely recommend a visit.

My wife and I came here with 4 friends after visiting the Groesbeekse wijnfeesten. No need for starters or desserts, we just wanted a good nourishing main course, no hassle. And that is exactly what we got. Everybody agreed the food was superb, and against very reasonable prices.I thoroughly enjoyed my steak and fries, very well grilled, soft and juicy. My wife's burger was so big, she could not finish it on her own.All others in our party loved their dishes as well.Certainly recommend this place, and it has a nice ambiance, grand cafe style.

My husband & I were in Norway for a week, then came to Netherlands for some WWII sites and museums. This hotel was recommended to us, and it was perfect! We got a suite that looks out over the valley! Beautiful! After being in the bustling city of Amsterdam for 2 days, this is just what we needed. Location is superb. View is amazing! Birds chirping & it is just idyllic. The room was amazing! I have never seen a bathroom like that one before. And, with a large soaking tub that was fabulous! The staff were very attentive to our needs. We were so relaxed that we asked if we could check out just a bit later than 11am, and they were totally fine with that. It was the BEST hotel we stayed at during our 12 day vacation. A little disappointed in the dinner meal. We had a new waitress who obviously wasn't trained in properly. Menu is not in English & she struggled to help explain it. We had our cell phones so did out own translation enough to understand menu. Food was good, very fresh. Service was slow...6:30pm reservations, & finished dinner close to 9pm. I know, I'm American & should eat slower, but that was a little too long! View from terrace gorgeous! Price was reasonable. If n the area, this is must to stay at. You will not be disappointed.
