Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Zaventem. Zaventem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzaːvəntɛm]) is a Belgian municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located in the Dijleland area, one of the three large recreational areas which together form the Groene Gordel ("Green Belt") around the Brussels-Capital Region. The municipality comprises the subdivisions or deelgemeenten of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On 1 January 2006 Zaventem had a total population of 28,651. The total area is 27.62 square kilometres (10.66 square miles), which gives a population density of 1,037 inhabitants per km². The official language is Dutch as it is within the Flemish Region. Zaventem is the home of Brussels Airport, together with neighbouring town of Diegem.

Da Pépé is not the âGreat informal Italianâ I admired a few years ago unfortunately. The straightforward, no curls honest food is gone and replaced by a rather dull, tasteless version. Prices are still on the low side however. Too bad..Parking is ample in front, except on market days.

After having lost contact, as they moved location, I found this beautiful italian restaurant again. The new location, in residential Kraainem area makes it easily accessible and you shouldn't have trouble for a parking spot. As before, nice and friendly staff, beautiful sober decoration, comfortable tables and the perfectly chosen atmosphere music make your stay rather enjoyable. Of course, the meal was as expected, prepared and served with class, tasty and portions where far substantial too. Happy to be back!

8 of us for dinner, the restaurant suggested the antipasti for a starter - very good choice, very large tall serving plate between for of us, plenty there, with cheeses and salads. Plenty of choice for mains including steaks, pastas, seafood. Nice atmosphere, great serving staff and the obligatory Italian sweet; sabayon. The kitchen is open so we watched the guy manically mixing & was a pleasure when it came, very tasty served in tall glasses. Father in Law settled the bill, very reasonable including drinks.

Absolutely delicious!! beautiful old stone/windmill house, great decoration, authentic italian food, tasty, calm, chic.You will enjoy the place close the airport by the Getaway hotel which is fantastic as well.Really professional crew, great wine selection. From the starter to dessert and real italian espresso, buon appetito!!

Was a single table and got a outstanding service, usually when dine alone you get forgotten by the waiter, not here.Food was really good, the house wine wasnât my pick and my waiter kindlyInformed himself me of options of wine not on the menu...all this to say I will be back for the quality of service and food!!

Business dinner at Da Lino last week.Very nice set up, extremely friendly staff and very client oriented. Always happy to explain dishes and connect with the client. But issue, is that food was really average. Service is very fast, you get your starters within 10 minutes after ordering and the mains a few minutes after the starters are finished. All this is gereat, but as said, food average. We were a table of 5, some of us had pasta, others meat, and none of the dishes was more than acceptable. My scalopino di vitello was overcooked and chewy. Really not the best dining experience.

Located nearby Zaventem train station, look out for a parking place, as the road can be quite busy.Reservation advised, as it's quite busy from 12:00 onwards.Once inside you are warmly greeted by both owners, who will gently care about your overcoat and seat you in comfortable armchair or sofas.Nice atmosphere, lot of pictures, live seafood near entrance.Menu is wide enough to satisfy any wish, the owner will recommend also - being a fish restaurant - the catch of the day. Swordfish prepared in a very nice wise, in the pan so that it won't dry too much, sided by vegetables and garnished mashed potatoes. Could not taste wine as driving, choice looked quite appalling. Serving time adequate, let you talk about business, you'll be served a small starter in between. Very advisable for a taste of new Italian cuisine, with the typical Italian empathy of the owner.

My wife and I come here regularly with our daughter. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. The steak is recommended as it is cooked just how you like it and is so tender.The new menu has many other delights for you to try. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to sample the delights of Sicilian cooking at La Perla. Well done to Ivan, Roberta and Ben.
