Florence and her two Sons have made this my first port of call upon my frequent visits to Eymet their cuisine and Grand Crème are simply the best tonic
The service is joyous and attentive I will miss them as I hear Florence is moving on to pastures new let me know where you are going as where am I going to go now

We have eaten at many top restaurants, without doubt, this restaurant surpasses many Michelin establishments.
The restaurant is situated in a medieval stone house with the most delightful walled courtyard which has water features and just the right lighting, if the weather does not permit the large entrance hall leads to airy dining rooms.
The food, always freshly prepared, is sensational, being gourmands we usually opt for the 46-euro menu, which given what is offered, is terrific value for money. It includes a selection of all the starters on the menu, including foie gras, home smoked salmon and lightly battered king prawns!
The main course offers a choice of filet steak, duck breast, stuffed cabbage, and a lighter fish option.
Dessert on this menu is a selection of everything from different flavoured home-made ice creams, sorbets, fresh fruits, different flavoured creme brulees and tarts - it is a revelation.
We have taken friends here and on every occasion they are wowed!

Come and enjoy local dishes in a welcoming atmosphere, set under the arcades in the centre of the bastide. Specialities include duck breast savoury pancake "à la royale", the "assiette gourmande" and crêpe with Guérande salt caramel ice cream.
This is a cracking little place and has a 'family run' feel and appeal to it.
We were impressed with the friendliness of the staff who gave us a warm welcome.
It was clean and bright being newly decorated and quite a modern fresh feel to it.
We ordered steak, chips and salad, and Maigret Duck with chips and salad. They were both perfectly cooked. We ordered desserts and I can highly recommend the chocolate fondant which was melt in the mouth delicious!
We all had drinks, mains and desserts. The food overall was very tasty and enjoyed by all.
The biggest surprise was when the bill came. What incredible value for money.
I think for those good value prices we will be returning and making this a bit of a regular haunt.
Clean, bright and friendly staff with good food! What's not to like!

Traditional French restaurant with excellent regional cuisine, duck of course but also fish dishes, fresh local vegetables and delicious desserts. For vegetarian options, it's best to phone ahead and they do go out of their way to provide suitable dishes. Always a warm welcome and good service. Looking forward to our next visit.

French meals,English breakfast, veggie burgers , all the food is homemade ! Large choice of local and international craft organic beers
Popped in for a drink before going for dinner. Experience was average, nothing to write home about. We didn't try the food due to previous reviews on here and didn't see any being served.
All my reviews are based on genuine first hand experience, if this has been helpful to you please give me a helpful vote, thank you

We are a traditional British Fish & Chip van. We use the best potatoes, often having to buy from the U.K. Our fish is "Frozen at sea" to give you the freshness of just caught fish. Currently it is Cod.We also sell battered sausages, battered prawns and mushy peas.
You've read the glowing reviews. A taste of Britain in the Dordogne. Well, the reality is quite different. We ordered two fish and chips meals and were told to return in 15 minutes. Good: freshly cooked F&Ps. Ten euros per person seemed reasonable if it was of quality.
It was early Thursday evening but the lady was already surly and out of sorts. We took our precious cargo home, wanting nothing to detract from the treat to come.
What we unwrapped was chips from local potatoes, unsuited to the purpose, being too sweet; and cod in batter which was so over-cooked the succulence had been driven out from the flesh, and the batter was nothing but crispness - no subtle blend of bits of crispness and areas of tender, delicious batter. It reminded me of a meal at L'Aparthee...
Suffice to say, if absence makes the heart grow fonder, one might overlook the shortcomings of this chippy.
If, like me you want real British fish and chips at that price, you should expect it to be cooked with skill, and leave a regretful, lingering taste when it has been consumed.
Not this offering. I was glad to finish it, and I set to to write my disappointed review with an appetite I hadn't found satisfied by this travesty. What must the locals think of les Anglais' tastes?

This place is a great spot to sit and have a drink it's just out of the square and normally there are quite a few French people that frequent this bar which is a change from all the English filling up the other bars in Eymet..They do snacks if you want to eat

Once again we enjoyed a very good and excellent value meal in this authentic Peruvian restaurant in Eymet
I had fajitas while my wife had the house ceviche. Both are very hearty helpings and accompanied by the excellent Chilean Viognier we had a splendid meal.
The desserts are also good (if somewhat alcoholic)
In total 56 euros for 2 - outstanding value

Here's an establishment which divides opinion, mostly along French vs English taste lines. If you are into French fine dining, this is not the one for you! One of Eymet's newer restaurants, the choice here is quite limited, but experience is not. The Chouette Cafe is a little out of the way, but definitely worth the small additional effort to find it. This is real French home cooking, the type we often search for in upmarket establishments, but never really find. Fresh local products mix with a traditional French home cooking style. I found a really relaxed atmosphere, where you can dine inside, on the enclosed Terrace or alfresco in the spacious garden.
Only 3 stars for the limited choice (which does rotate), but 4 stars for service and quality. Definitely a good choice for the adventurous diner and a meal here will not break the bank.
