We had such an incredible meal along with our meal tasting at Cava Maciel. We got a chicken grill, and it was so well marinated and served with amazing crusty bread. It went so well with the empanadas and lighter appetizers; tomato salad, and cauliflower. I would love to go back for steak and to try the rest of the menu. I was surprised not to see it on the best food in the Valle lists, but learned that it is a very new restaurant, so know it will be there soon.Savanah, thank you for your visit, we look forward to have you and your friends back at the restaurant

Excelent food and service!One of the few places in Valle de Guadalupe where you are still catered by the owners who also happen to be the chef (trained at the famous Cordon Bleu) and award winning enologist.Highly recommended for the excellent food, wine and family friendly grounds :)

The service was outstanding and the food was as well! I suggest ordering and sharing everything as our party of 5 tried the entire appetizer menu and one of the main dishes. The wine suggestion was out standing, it was our first time here and we can't wait to go back!

Two of the three dinners we ordered were excellent, and the lamb stew was as good as we have had. The octopus, a specialty of the house, was disappointing, poorly cooked and served over a salad, which simply didn't work. Still, we enjoyed the meal--the wines we had were superb--until we tried to get the check. After asking three waiters, the people at the checkout, and waiting for 15 minutes w/o getting it, we were very frustrated. They claimed to have "lost it." So, I said, OK. I'm leaving and started to walk out the door. At that point, they miraculously produced the check. The checkout people--three of them--seemed entirely uninterested in doing their job. At that point, late in the evening, there didn't appear to be a manager present, so the employees obviously didn't care about their customers.We are sorry for the inconvenience you had at our establishment, we will certainly take notice upon this matter, as soon as possible. We hope we will have you back so we can give you the service you deserve
