Oasis of Feel Good Atmosphere
Reviewed By Julian WDuring our three weeks Sri Lanka trip, this was definitely our favorite accomodation. Nice room, great facility, yummy food, very friendly managers and staff. After doing a bunch of National Parks and other typical Sri Lankan tourist things, we enyoyed every second in this oasis of calmness, tidiness and feel good atmosphere.

One of the only hostels in Arugam Bay you will find. It's an old house transformed into a hostel. There are 3 rooms with each 4 beds provided with AC and a view over the lagoon. There is a kitchen that can be used if requested, a common area inside where breakfast will be served as well as a small chill out outside. The house is surrounded with a nice garden. The bathrooms are common.

Located within easy walk of all restaurants and less than a minute to lagoon or beautiful beach. Probably the best valued place to stay in Arugambay. Reviewed By yankw4nkAwesome owner an staff amazing food with a good easy tab service, hammocks nice rooms and best shower I've ever had at a hostel, booked for two nights now have extended to 8, its also very sociable something about the layout encourages it I think and its a two minute walk from the beach and surf shops and despite its beach location the rooms and shared area are all sand free due to some foot taps and the staff, which is nice as you dont want it all over your room, also get the pizza

Great hostel to chill out and meet other travelers
Reviewed By 742aniaaWanderers Hostel is a great, clean place, located close to the beach and designed in a way that you can chill out. There are nice hammocks outside you can relax. The outside area is set up in a nice wood that gives an impression of being even closer to nature and makes you feel you are really on holiday. It is also a great place to meet other travelers and the hostel has a good vibe. There is an access to the kitchen as well so you can make your own meals. Also there is a fridge so you can cool down your fruits, beer or beverages in a nice hot Trincomale.

Dishonnest Manager
Reviewed By Quen5inAlready in Arugam bay, we came in for a vist. The manager offered us a double room at 3000 LKR per night for 3 days on which we agreed. We were supposed to check in 2 days later, when we arrived he explained us that an "unexpected" booking came in, that our agreed room was no longer available and proposed to relocate us in another of his hostels. We went To check the new room which was not as good as the original one by far so we decided to take it for a shorter time. When he heard that we'd take the room for only one night he said that it was not available anymore. Long story short we ended up with no room at all. Between the visit of the room and the check in we exchanged many Whatsapp messages but he never told us that our room was not available anymore. I consider this as a really bad way to act towards customers and do NOT recommend this place even if we did not sleep there :).

Incredible stay in Arugam bay
Reviewed By M8655EUjamessThis place is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful location right on the beach and just a few minutes walk to town. Rooms were nice and clean and for a very good price. But the thing that really stood out for me were the hosts. A kind and generous family that made me feel at home from the first moment I arrived. They let me try authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, taught me about their culture, and the two sons even took me out to a nice beginner spot to give surfing a try. I can't wait to go back to the hotel arugam bay beach inn and spend time with the new friends that I made there ?

Reviewed By Uthz_wWell worth the money you pay. Situated in Uppuveli in Trincomalee this is a family run place. The owner's wife's cooking is delicious. Walking distance to beach and have comfortable double rooms and cabanas with a hostel if you are the budget traveller.
