The Hansecity Doesburg with its characteristic historical and vibrant city center a special attraction . Emphasis is Doesburg as " border triangle " on the border of the Veluwe, the Achterhoek and Liemers . This offers many cycling and walking in the immediate area , the City Hotel Doesburg is a wonderful place to stay. There is an informal atmosphere and decor of the rooms is excellent.

Reviewed By chrisgeldofWe stay from Monday until Friday is this hotel to survey the town and the surrounding. The rooms are simple and small. The bathroom was ok with a walk-in shower with a plastic curtain. You think that the hotel will be along the river IJssel, but is behind an apartment complex. But this is compensated by a nice terrace along the river. The breakfast is well done with good cup of coffee. The meals at dinner have a different selection en well presented.

Alles was ver boven verwachting: de locatie, de hartelijke ontvangst, mooie inrichting, rust en ruimte, heerlijke bedden, het uitgebreide ontbijt. Er was niets dat niet tot in de puntjes geregeld was door de geweldige gastvrouw. Absoluut een aanrader!

Reviewed By GastoudewasserijLocatie is ideaal, parkeren gratis, 2 minuutjes lopen van het centrum. Eigen keuken, meer dan uitgebreid ontbijt. Aparte zitkamer waar je zelfs ouderwets plaatjes kunt draaien. Gastheer echt super vriendelijk.

Camping IJsselstrand is gelegen in Doesburg en heeft directe toegang tot de rivier IJssel. De camping verhuurt ruim opgezette kampeerplaatsen en comfortabele accommodaties. Het waterpark van de camping bestaat uit een heerlijk zwembad met een leuke glijbaan en een peuterbad met tuimelemmers. Dit alles onder een mooie overkapping die open geschoven kan worden, zodat er met elke weer gezwommen kan worden! Een prachtig zandstrand met directe toegang tot de IJssel maakt de waterpret compleet. Ook voor kinderen is genoeg te doen, zo beschikt de camping over een gave binnenspeeltuin. Daarnaast kunnen ze op boerderij De Oldenhave, die midden op de camping ligt, leuke ritjes maken op pony's. Voor nog meer dierenplezier kan er een uitstapje naar Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem worden gemaakt. Doesburg is gelegen op het punt waar de Achterhoek, de Veluwe en Liemers samenkomen. In deze mooi gerestaureerde Hanzestad zie je de rijke historie duidelijk terug. Breng een bezoekje aan het mosterdmuseum of het ambachtscentrum De Gildehof. De camping is ook de ideale uitvalsbasis voor een bezoekje aan Apeldoorn of Arnhem. Voor natuurliefhebbers is dit de ideale camping. Er zijn vele fiets- en wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving en Vissers hoeven de camping zelfs niet af, de hengel kan vanaf de plek worden uitgegooid.
