This rest has many branches in Solo. The food is great, drinks great, prices very affordable. The Bakso comes in different options.. From the basic to the complete version of the Bakso soup. Basically Bakso is the meaty beefy meatballs in soup with noodles and some veg. Portions are nice and small but if you want more can also ask for other round. Service is fast. This is a local type shop w fans..not air cond,

Place so unique with all the javanese antique decoration, located in the alleyway and quite a hidden gem. Selat solo is very unique and its influence by dutch and java cuisine. Broth is kinda sweet for me, but can be balanced with addition of sambal

The restaurant serves only timlo, a traditional cuisine from Solo, with various ingredients. It's a kind of clear soup, but no vegetables in it. Guests may choose the ingredients, all of them are from chicken: egg, liver, traditional sausage named sosis s
It used to be one of the best timlo (clear soup with sliced spiced boiled eggs, egg rolls-better known as Sosis Solo or Solo Sausage, chicken gizzard) I've ever tasted. However, the extremely foul smelling dumpster across the road really plays a role in ruining the taste. They've opened a new branch that might fare better, but I sincerely hope that they do something with the dumpster. The eatery has become an iconic place to eat in this city.

Went there on Saturday evening and there were only several empty seats. Small parking space but it is fine. Ordered Selat Solo and Sup Matahari. Selat solo was sweet but tolerable for non-Javanese people; standard portion that might made you ask for second dish. Rich and tender. Sup matahari was good, but not as intriguing as the Selat.

This cafe is unique. serve the guests angkringan, the typical of local food. Nice place for hanging out with friends and family. The food is average. Too bad my rice was too hard.

This is the best outlet to enjoy authentic fried duck of Mr. H. Slamet (Asli) , the taste of sambal and meat quality are superb.

This restaurant is the place that we always choose for the Gudeg. Gudeg is a traditional Javanese cuisine speciality of Yogyakarta and Central Java. It is made from unripe jack fruit stewed for several hours with palm sugar, coconut milk and some additional spices. But this restaurant also offers other menu. There is enough choices for vegetarian. Good service.

Soto ayam Gading is your typical Javanese clear soto: light and bland. It was very tasteless, so you need to add a spoonful of salt, a dash of soysauce, and a heap of sambal to actually taste anythingVarious side dishes were available to accompany your soto: quail egg satay, fried tofu, sweet chicken satay, sosis solo, etc. Enjoy everything because it's dirt cheap!

The reviewers who liked this place should try Serabi Notosuman Ny. Handayani, in the orange building diagonally across the road, and see if they can taste the difference. Our family usually buy from Ny. Handayaniâs, but on our latest visit it was closed so we tried Ny. Lydiaâs. All six of our family found the taste lacked the home-made freshness of Ny. Handayani, although here you can watch the kitchen staff making the serabi.
