The restaurant serves only timlo, a traditional cuisine from Solo, with various ingredients. It's a kind of clear soup, but no vegetables in it. Guests may choose the ingredients, all of them are from chicken: egg, liver, traditional sausage named sosis solo, or all of them. The restaurant opens between 08.00 am until 02.00pm. It's located behind Pasar Gede, the famous traditional market in Solo. It faces Jl. Kapten Mulyadi. It also has a branch in Penumping that opens until dinner time.

This is a very good, moderately priced restaurant, but as many reviewers have said, the location close to a rubbish dump is a real turn-off.
The other branch, called Timlo Sastro 2, has a much more pleasant location on Jalan Dr. Wahidin, and this is the place to go. There’s another cheap restaurant right next door selling lots of tasty snacks and soup.

Authentic and delicious Indonesian food. Professional and friendly service. Cold beer served in chilled glass; cold coconut water and natural juices. We had lunch in the large outside area, under a canopy. Very good value for money. After lunch we visited the antiques market, which is next door and an attraction in itself.

Gudeg
Gudeg is made from young unripe jack fruit(Javanese: gori, Indonesian: nangka muda) boiled for several hours with palm sugar, andcoconut milk. Additional spices include garlic, shallot, candlenut, coriander seed,galangal, bay leaves, and teak leaves, the latter giving a reddish-brown color to the dish.
Javanesse Fried Chicken.. so crunchy and swet.. againt !
And drink.. u can try Beras Kencur with ice.. so fresh..

Attracted to this always crowded restaurant, I went with my wife for brunch. Indeed when we came the place was almost full. Service was quick but not courteous. The worst soto ayam I've ever taste. I really like soto ayam and try it in different version of different city, but this one was exceptional. I really dislike it. The soup was plain and not tasty at all, already added salt, soy sauce and sambal but it didn't help. The complementary food such "gorengan" and other not good too. 100% sure that I will never come back to this place.

This is a quite popular hangout place in Solo. The food is very good, and the service is also good. The unique thing is that they barbeque the food you choose among quite variety of choices, like tofu, tempe, shrimp, rice, etc. The ambience is very good, with it’s open space style. Overall, a very good hangout place.

By mentioning Tengkleng in Solo City is identical to Tengkleng Mba Diyah, the best one tengkleng in Solo where located at Solo Baru and very easy to reach this location, its established quite long time and the strong point its consistency in maintaining the taste, WOW. The portion as well as the price are reachable and parking space are wide enough. Recommend to have lunch at tengkleng Mba Diyah
