Bude (/bjuːd/; Cornish: Porthbud) is a small seaside resort town in north Cornwall, England, UK, in the civil parish of Bude-Stratton and at the mouth of the River Neet (also known locally as the River Strat). It is sometimes formerly known as Bude Haven. It lies southwest of Stratton, south of Flexbury and Poughill, and north of Widemouth Bay and is located along the A3073 road off the A39. Bude is twinned with Ergué-Gabéric in Brittany, France. Bude's coast faces Bude Bay in the Celtic Sea, part of the Atlantic Ocean. The population of the civil parish can be found under Bude-Stratton.

Four of us went in for a meal as we were on holiday. Everything about our visit was first class. Food was excellent as was the service. Unfortunately one of our party was taken ill (recurring heart problem) and the staff (Lindsay, Stuart & Monkey) showed great care and arranged for an ambulance to attend. The evening had a happy outcome and we can't thank the staff enough for their help.

Popped in for lunch with my mum whilst on holiday..ordered club Sandwich and chips..oh my god the club Sandwich was to die for..really fresh and well made..mum had cod and chips and really enjoyed hers too..popped back next morning and breakfast was equally delicious..very warm welcome too..officially my favourite pace to eat in Bude

Imagine…….. sitting on the veranda of a restaurant which nestles among rugged cliffs, gazing at the golden sands and the sea, stained scarlet, as the sun sets. Is this the Italian Riviera? No, this is Life’s a Beach, overlooking Summerleaze beach in Bude, Cornwall, where the location and the cuisine are as fine as any in the world.The wide ranging menu uses fresh local produce and reflects the creativity and travelling experiences of the young chefs. Seafood is a speciality, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly.The restaurant opens at 7pm but during the day it transforms into a facility for beach goers. There is an ice cream parlour, a beach shop and a café where meals, snacks and drinks can be enjoyed on the premises overlooking the beach or taken away.‘Lifes a Beach’ is already highly acclaimed as the place to eat out in Bude, so why not come and judge for yourself?

Consistently good food, service and ambiance. Amazing views across beach & out to sea. Lots of room, even outside on the covered Terrace. Prices from vary from £2.50 for a teacake & coffee to £10 for a warm winter salad of roasted veg

Myself and my partner visited on a Saturday evening without booking and was still welcomed and sat promptly.
The menu was relatively small but had a good variety of dishes to choose from. I opted for the pigeon as a starter, it was very nice and full of flavour although I did come across 2 metal pellets one of which I nearly broke my tooth on, luckily no real damage was done. I understand there is a risk of shot being present in such animals but there really should be a warning on the menu.
Next I had the burger which was very nice, obviously fresh, quality ingredients. Very nice.
And what can I say about the dessert.. Omg!.. I had a pistachio chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream. This was one of the best dessert I've eaten.. Awesome.

Contemporary interior, beautiful bar, decking and lawns all overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A relaxed atmosphere and good value menu. Morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and evenings.

As a frequent traveler from overseas, this was my second trip to Elements, and it surely won't be the last. I had the calamari as a starter, followed by pasta carbonara, and all of it was delicious: tender fried squid, wonderful pasta, creamy sauce. The service was friendly and efficient. The setting is lovely, too.

Popped in here one rainy morning during Storm Brian for brunch, four wet adults and one dog. We were made very welcome. The others all had big breakfasts with sausages and bacon, which disappeared very quickly so must have been good! I went for the more dainty crab Sandwich on sourdough. Unlike another reviewer I found it fresh, tasty and very satisfying. Our dog was made very welcome too. The coffee was good , nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We loved it!

I don't know if the owners have had a say in this TripAdvisor listing, but it's a little misleading to say there are gluten-free options.
We visited last week and were told the only gluten-free option was jacket-potatoes.
Unfortunately it was a wasted trip for us, as my partner can't eat gluten.
Looked like a nice enough place, so I'm giving it the average number of stars so as not to affect their rating on TripAdvisor - but just be aware if you're gluten intolerant!

Stopped here on our way back to our caravan park...lovely little pub, friendly staff, meals were reasonably priced and good sized portions, my boyfriend had a child's fish & chips and was that was more than enough for him! Would definitely come back here if we're ever this way again :)

Went to this place for my wife's birthday meal. This was our first real tapas experience, and the food was plentiful, and very nice. Staff were warm and friendly and my compliments go to our server and of course the chef. They also do dishes on an individual basis, (steak, fish, etc) but if you are are into tapas, and are in the area, give the Bank a try. you won't be disappointed

We called here for lunch on a lovely winters day. Great first impressions of a beautifully decorated reception, bar and lounge. Lunchtime menu excellent value at 2 courses for £12.50, great food and friendly service. Will visit again in the summer so that we can sit on the Terrace and enjoy the wonderful views.
