On our second night in Vancouver we chose Sai Woo Chop Suey for dinner. Very cool decor with a nice cocktail menu and decent beer selection. Our waiter helped us choose our meals. The Vietnamese spring rolls are VERY unique. Really crunchy with a great filling. We had the Chungqoig ribs and duck with fried rice as entrees, as suggested by our waiter. The dishes meshed very well for sharing with complementary sauces and textures. One caveat, which has nothing to do with the restaurant, if you take public transportation DO NOT TAKE THE BUS TO CARRAL & E HASTINGS! Google will direct you to this bus stop because it is closest, but it drops you off in front of a social services building whose "clientele" appeared to be hard drug users. I have definitely been in bad areas growing up in NYC, and this was without a doubt one of the worst situations I've found myself in. Be smart and go one stop more.Thank you for your feedback. I am sure other travellers will appreciate to know to g one stop further if taking the bus as Hastings Street can be unpleasant to walk through. Glad you enjoyed your meal i appreciate your review :)Salli

The food and service was good, however after a while I found the low wooden setaing and thin cushion pretty uncomfortable. Huge portions if you order the large, enough for 2.
