Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Perugia. This picturesque Umbrian city has a history that spans many eras. The city wall and arch are Etruscan; the sixth-century Sant'Angelo church was built atop a Roman temple; the town's cathedral is both Gothic and Renaissance. If you have a sweet tooth, visit the famous Perugina chocolate factory; if you have a full set of sweet teeth, visit during the Eurochocolate festival, held in October, when the entire town reportedly smells of chocolate.

Ristorante Deco offers a nice setting for a summerdiner in its garden. The restaurant mainly offers fish. Quality of the meals (I went three evenings) differed very much. Excellent fresh fish in on course, however also dishes covered with an excessive cover of bread-crumbs. The selection of open wines for this kind of restaurant is limited.

Was very quiet at lunch time but this is a clean and yet atmospheric restaurant tucked away in a cellar, somewhat oddly located by the entance to a car park. Food was well presented and tasted good and we were impressed by the value for money. Large Greek salad at only 4 Euros and with bread - this was a meal in itself. You can't go too far wrong with this place.

I’ve had lots of pizza in Perugia but they all missed that Naples touch and pizza height that differentiates the original pizza from Naples than the others. Very attentive and nice staff and to top it off they have a rather nice (and I must confess, unexpected) collection of liquor and dessert and good coffee too. Would absolutely revisit.

We were staying at the hotel so ate here a couple times. If you’re coming from other Italian cities where you’ve been walking and roaming around, don’t expect that if you’re staying at the hotel that houses this restaurant. You’ll probably be eating at the hotel restaurant ‘cause there’s not much else around. We had a couple dinners here. We weren’t crazy about the food here. It was OK but certainly not great. The service was fine but the food seemed off compared to other fine restaurants we enjoyed in Italy. The meats were tough and overcooked. Don’t get me wrong. The food wasn’t awful but was disappointing given all the glowing reviews. The hotel and its staff are wonderful and welcoming. My hotel comments are in a other review. FYI, There is a small, fun local place around the corner from the hotel driveway called Why Not Cafe. It’s an option.Dear guest, thanks for sharing your experience. San Martino in Campo is a little town near Perugia, only 5 minutes and there are all the services: banks, post office, one pizza restaurant, a supermarket, two bar and clothes stores. While, if you find some special and differents local you have to go to Perugia by bus or by car. We are happy you like our restaurant and even if you haven’t find the good so awful, we hope to see you again for antother special tasting. See you, Best regards.F.F

After pouring through the Trip Adviser reviews we found Morlacchi which was located relatively close to where we were staying. Walking up to the front door the street was empty and felt lonely. This feeling soon disappeared when we entered the Locanda and were directed to the terrace on the floor below. We had booked and were shown to our table beside the balcony wall and the view was superb. Dark had set in and the view of the buildings and lights through the trees was breath taking. Service was excellent and we were soon drinking our complimentary prosecco and tasting the complimentary black rice, speck and orange zest morsel. Then it was on to first course - carbonara with truffles for me and risotto al lime for my partner. Both were amazing. Then I had the lamb with vegetables while my partner had the filet of pork with prunes and roast potatoe. By the time we had finished these two courses plus an excellent bottle of Barberra D’Alba from up north we had no room for dessert but we watched some wonderful concoctions delivered to other tables. All in all a great night out.

Restaurant recently moved from Panicarola to Perugia, only about a 10-15 minutes difference. This is the old TA listing.......https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g194721-d2626886-Reviews-DivinPeccato-Castiglione_del_Lago_Province_of_Perugia_Umbria.htmlThe new location is absolutely exquisite. Mirko is a great host and has done a marvelous job in the new setting, which can handle weddings and other events. Outdoor seating is large and comfortable with a country club feel. You sit poolside by candlelight (beware of bugs!) and have plenty off space and privacy. We visited on a July 2017 Saturday and he was packed. Couples and large groups enjoying the setting and food. Staff was friendly as always. The inside looked nice and perhaps during our winter return we will need to dine indoors. Do not be deceived by the confusing TA rating which stems from them moving....This is by far a top 5 restaurant in the Lago Trasimeno area and honestly, I would recommend and compare this to any other nearby eatery.

TL;DR - absolutely amazing food (both well-presented and superbly tasty), and service to match. The owners of the restaurant dropped us off to our hotel which was 7 miles away!Full review - My girlfriend and I walked to this restaurant from the airport: a precarious and poorly-planned journey. However, it was worth it for this institution. The owner greeted us at the door, took our coats and bags, and sat us at a table surrounded by gorgeous art. We enjoyed a selection of olive oils served with bread como antipasti: the owner and waiter came with six bottles of olive oil from all over Italy, ranked them from lightest to strongest and explained their origin. We sampled each with bread. The last bottle was especially stunning as it was handmade from their house in Sicily, with a refreshing taste that I did not know was possible to infuse into oil. For mains, I tucked into a sumptuous monkfish dish, whilst my girlfriend enjoyed a gingery fish soup, both of which were beautiful. My dish was served with an alcoholic pumpkin-like sauce, broccoli pieces, mozzarella slices, watercress, bacon cooked to perfection and dried currants - flavours that I would never have dreamed of combining, but worked so well that I have decided to try and duplicate them at home. The winelist was complex and rich, and too daunting for me, so I asked the owner to choose us a nice, deep red. His selection was predictably excellent. Finally, we asked the owner for the best way to reach the city centre. He conducted some research, informed us of train and taxi options, but then came to the decision to drive us and our luggage to the hotel. I was simply awestruck by such kindness. This is the best dining experience I have ever had outside of my own country. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The menu changes monthly.
