Having a hard time understanding the thought process of placing fish on a plate SOAKED with coleslaw. When asked how my meal was (because she waited until we were done to come back) I told her exactly how it was. Soaked fish. Now, it’s not the food quality that’s the issue, it’s the literal response I got “well you should have asked for the coleslaw in a side dish” LOL GIRL OK. You work here, not me, it should be assumed that anyone who knows their left nut from a spatula should know that it will get soggy and not expect a first time customer to know to make these requests. She shrugged her shoulders after I showed her the uneaten mush halibut on my plate said “okaaay” and walked away. STAY HOME AND MICROWAVE SOME FISH IF YOUR EXPECTING SERVICE, if any at all ‍♀️Hi ChantalThank you for making us aware of your server issue. I am not making excuses for my daughter, however she was really not on her game. We had just been made aware that my mother was terminal, and has since passed away. Please accept our apoligy, and dine again with us complimentary on me.

Reviews were consistently good, and combined with the fact the place has been in business for decades, we finally decided to stop in. Although it was "seafood buffet night", we elected to order from the menu. The seafood buffet had several interesting-looking items, but they weren't labelled. Many were self-evident, but some of the mixed dishes (e.g. a jambalaya?) could have been clarified. We were also told there was a "catch of the day" but there was nothing to identify what that was. We ordered scallops as a starter, and beef wellingtons for our mains. The scallops were cooked acceptably; any more time and they would have been rubbery. They were swimming besides a literal "lake" of ordinary cocktail sauce, far too much for the number of scallops. The beef in the beef wellington was cooked as we were told, i.e., medium rare, although a bit stringy. The platter on which it was served had a large serving of glazed carrots, a mound of mixed vegetabvles, and a baked potato. The servings were certainly large: for us, who are used to smaller portions, it was actually too much and we regrettably had to leave a lot of food on the plate. Although the presentation of the pastry around the beef wellington was very creatively done, there was a considerable amount of excess. The supersized servings and lackluster side vegetables are out of touch with contemporary service. Given the popularity of the place, I'd recommend it to those who appreciate large meals, but it wasn't for me.
